The Dovecote

A Visit England five-star gold award holiday barn offering every luxury for those seeking a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of York but with easy access to the city centre via bus or car. The 18th century Dovecote is part of 'The Dovecote Barns' set at the edge of the lovely quiet Kelfield village, offering a tranquil setting in which to relax. A private garden area, cosy bedrooms with luxury mattresses, underfloor heating and log burning stove in the open plan living/kitchen/dining area. The space Features of this under-floor heated open-plan living area include a beautiful handmade Neptune kitchen with granite worktops and kitchen island, queens truss framing the upper bedroom, and a wood burning stove. The 2 ensuite bedrooms are on separate floor levels with stairs and separate WC on the ground floor. The first floor ensuite bedroom has a large super-king bed (which can be split into twin beds if required) with ensuite shower room and the second bedroom on the second floor has a king bed with ensuite shower over bath room. The bedrooms have luxury mattresses home grown in Yorkshire. Guest access Guests have total private access to the Dovecote and private patio garden which is accessed through the kitchen french doors or from outside the property. Also, guests have communal access to the Games Room (with pool table and darts board and board games). Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in the Games Room. Communal access is also available to the Eco Laundry which houses washing machines, dryer and drying rack. The eco laundry is accessible 24/7.
