Churpon 3 is nestled in a reserved tiny village of Fiang (25 kms from Leh) amidst fields of barley and trees of apricot, with the giant Stok range overlooking the valley. Other things to note Fiang also known as Phyang is located about 25km away from the Leh Airport and is in a south-facing valley in the Ladakh Range of mountains. There is an old dilapidated castle near the cluster of Phyang on a hilltop. Just below this castle, there is a single-room temple, with paintings of Guru Lhakhang. The village offers breathtakingly beautiful view of the Stok range of Himalayas and is ideal for acclimatizing before kicking off further Ladakh escapades.
