The three-storey traditional Himalayan home is made from locally sourced cedar wood. The floors, ceiling, and the spiralling staircase are all completely wooden and the gaping balconies on all floors offer brilliant views of the mountains, orange sunrise, and crimson sunset. Deodar Cottage, a luxurious boutique homestay is a charming getaway to claim tranquillity. Set amidst an apple and cherry orchard overlooking a deodar forest, the Deodar Cottage offers guests (occupying the entire cottage) an accommodation comprising six luxury bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a fully-furnished modern kitchen with soul-warming Himalayan fireplace in the centre, a dining area, cosy living room, and study. The cottage has a patio to bask in the sun, while sipping a hot cup of coffee watching the snow-capped Himalayan range, dense Himalayan Oak Forest, and the Sutlej River snaking in the valley. Guests can enjoy a home-like stay here while spotting local birds and enjoying seasonal fruits from the orchard. Tea, coffee, and meals are served in the dining area only.
