Swimming pool rules and instructions are placed on a board next to the pool. Drinking Water; There is no need to buy bottled water in Aruba; the island's tap water is pure and refreshing, distilled in the world's second largest saltwater desalination plant. It is very delicious! In fact, Aruban drinking water has been dubbed "the champagne of the Caribbean", and is even bottled and shipped to nearby Curacao. Electricity; Rarely there is a power failure and the island has decided to adopt the North American voltage standard of 110 A.C. (60 cycles), the same as in the United States and Canada. When leaving the property or before going to sleep, please secure all doors and windows and put all pins in sliding doors where available. Smoking; Please no smoking at any time inside the residence. Smokers are to go outside and are also asked to please not to throw the cigarette butts on the ground or in the landscaping. Trash; All trash must be placed in bins located near the residence. Please do not leave trash and garbage exposed. The garbage company will pick up the garbage EVERY MONDAY /WEDNESDAY /FRIDAY of the week.
