Gîte Maëline in Galey

Located in the hamlet of Orchein, in the typical village of Galey, in the Ariégeoises Pyrenees Regional Nature Park, our gîte will welcome you for a relaxing stay. It has outdoor access (unfenced) with a sheltered terrace. It is located in a village, which includes many hiking trails. Comfortable, warm, with stunning views of the Couserans mountains, this is the perfect place to recharge and explore the surroundings. The space It has an independent kitchen on the ground floor where you can have your meals. Upstairs, in a pleasant bright living room, you will enjoy a very pleasant view of the mountain ranges, with a double sofa bed (140 x 200), a bathroom with shower cabin and separate toilet. In the mezzanine, under the roof, a double bed (140 x 190) and a single bed (90 x 190) are ready to welcome you for restful nights! This cottage is our second home, which we make available to you, and which we want to be warm and welcoming, with all amenities. You will have a washing machine, TV (with an antenna that can be temperamental depending on the weather!), DVD player, electric stove with oven and stove, microwave, garden table and chairs, barbecue. We also provide basic products (coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt, pepper, toilet paper, shower gel). The use of sheets (fitted sheets, duvet cover and pillowcases) is mandatory, for hygiene reasons. We can provide them (as well as towels) upon request and at an extra cost of 25 euros. The accommodation is non-smoking, self check-in (lockbox). The 4G network for mobile phones works very well. For our "four-legged" friends, contact us by message. We want to welcome you with your companions but on the condition that you respect a few simple rules: we ask you to bring their basket or mat; they do not damage the cottage and do not climb on the furniture (sofa, armchair, beds, etc.), they do not bark in the cottage and you do not leave them alone in the cottage, you always keep them on a leash in the village, you do not leave any trace of their visit in the garden (...). We will ask you for an extra charge for cleaning if you wish to come with your pet. The accommodation is non-smoking: we therefore ask you not to smoke inside the accommodation and to throw all your butts in the garbage, before taking it out. At checkout, we appreciate you leaving the space clean and tidy to facilitate cleaning. We may ask you for an additional cleaning fee, depending on the condition of the property at checkout and the number of hours required to restore it for future guests. Guest access The gîte includes a ground floor (entrance and kitchen), a first floor (living room, toilet and bathroom) and a mezzanine with a double bed and a single bed). The cottage can be accessed by car and parked nearby for free. Other things to note All amenities nearby: no grocery store in the village but a restaurant bar tabac that can also make bread and croustades to order. 5 min drive, village of Saint-Lary: Courdet restaurant and grocery store, Basilic Saint Fred pizzeria, Auberge de l'izard, le pic de la calabasse cheese shop. 15 min drive, village of Castillon-d'en-Couserans: market on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, Carrefour Express, grocery store, tobacco bar, pastry-bakery, butcher-delicatessen, garage service station, pharmacy, hairdresser, wine cellar. In Engomer (15 minutes' drive): Café, Farmers' Market (Sunday morning), and Pizza Shop. Saint Girons town is 25 minutes away (with all the shops you may need and the farmers' market on Saturday mornings) Guzet station 1 hr 10 min and Le Mourtis 35 min, via the Col d'Aspet.
