Curia House, Rammed Earth Beauty

In a fabulous central location, walk to everything that the township of Mansfield has to offer, or stay home and enjoy a drink on the vine covered terrace immersed in the beauty of your own private walled garden. With three beautifully made up bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, large living and dining area, outdoor dining with bbq, full laundry and lock up garage Curia House has everything required to be a fabulous base for your High Country getaway. The space Curia House is a much admired Rammed Earth house situated on a corner block only one street back from the main street of Mansfield. On entering the house you will find yourself in the living/dining area which is very comfortably furnished with a mix of contemporary and antique furniture, interesting objects, art and indoor plants. Large sliding doors open onto the vine covered terrace and gravel garden, an outdoor oasis for you to enjoy. Adjacent to the living/dining area is the galley kitchen and butlers pantry. The kitchen has Miele appliances and the butlers pantry has everything we think you might need during your stay, basic supplies and dry goods, glasses, platters, Breville espresso coffee machine, toaster, sandwich press, kettle etc etc. Through a door at one end of the living room you will enter a hallway that leads to the Master Suite. This large bedroom has a Queen size bed with a beautiful garden view as well as its own sitting space with a good lamp. The perfect place to sit and read a book quietly. You will also find an ensuite with a walk in shower and heated towel rail. The suite also has a walk-in robe. Back along the hallway you will find the laundry, with top loading washing machine, dryer, double sink, ironing board and iron as well as the vacuum and cleaning products should you require them during your stay. This hallway also has an entrance to the garage. The garage has a remote controlled roller door and is available for your use and is the perfect place for storing bikes, ski gear or whatever toys you like to bring on holidays to the High Country. Heading back through the living room to the other end of the house you will find two additional bedrooms. One has a Queen bed with a garden view and plenty of wardrobes for storage. The third bedroom can be made up as either a twin single room or as a king bed option. This room also has lots of storage. We make all our beds up with upsized doonas for extra coverage and comfort and all our beds have access to good reading lamps and have electric blankets. All bedrooms have ceiling fans for summer comfort and Nobo heat panels for snug winter nights. These two bedrooms share the main bathroom which has a full bath and walk-in shower. Except for wet areas this property is fully carpeted and is therefore unsuitable for pets. We love pets but this is not the house for them. We think this is a very special house and are delighted to be able to share it with our guests. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property with the exception of the linen press in the laundry and one cupboard in the 3rd bedroom which will both be locked. Other things to note Please note this property has no open play space in the garden for children. It is a gravel garden which means there are gravel paths around garden beds. There is no lawn. The front garden is unfenced.
