Farm stay on the river

A serene farm stay on the banks of the winding Murrumbidgee River. This beautiful cottage was the original Shearer’s Quarters for the sprawling Bumbalong sheep station. It has been warmly renovated to provide a modern, comfortable stay whilst maintaining a 'laid-back, country' vibe. You can go for hikes, swim in the river, go fishing or simply just relax and unwind. Escape the city and immerse yourself in nature at Snowy River Farm. The space The living area and kitchen are open plan. There’s bar seating for two at the kitchen bench. An Australian made, Nectre woodfire heater keeps the space warm and cosy. Guest access The property has over 300 m of river frontage. You can picnic or fish right on the banks of the Murrumbidgee river. Just find your favourite spot. You can also explore the bush surroundings. Wildlife here includes deer, kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and if you’re lucky you might even spot the resident platypus by the causeway! Other things to note While there’s no WIFI here, Telstra mobile reception is a reliable 4G throughout the property. Other carrier mobile data coverage is not good. For food, the nearest shop is the Michelago General Store (20 mins drive) which only sells some essential food items but it does have a bottle shop in the back. Best to bring all the food items you love from home. The nearest supermarkets are located in Cooma (40 mins drive) or Canberra (42 mins drive). Registration Details PID-STRA-53302
