You will get an experience of what it is like to live off the grid and how to utilize solar power and batteries wisely. It is located at 5,500 feet elevation so come and escape the summer heat. The yurt is fully equipped with clean and comfortable sheets, closet to store your belongings, tub, toilet, fully equipped kitchen, and a wood stove for chilly nights. ACCOMODATIONS: The yurt can comfortably sleep 3 people. There is a queen-sized bed in the loft (stair access) and a twin size bed under the loft that can be used to house a third guest or use as a reading nook. BATHROOM: It has a fully functional bathtub and toilet. The place is on a septic tank so we ask that you are mindful with what you flush down the toilet. KITCHEN: The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, pots, pans, bean grinder, blender, percolator coffee pot, french press, filtered water, and all the kitchen utensils to cook a homemade meal after a long hike. Please keep in mind that you are surrounded by wildlife so do not leave food out. Place all food inside the refrigerator and avoid leaving food in the sink to keep our four legged friends away. LIVING AREA: There's a comfortable couch and reclining chair to relax after a long day of exploring. During chilly nights, you can use the iron wood stove to keep you warm and cozy. Our smart TV can connect to all streaming platforms including Netflix, Hulu, Max, Disney +, and more. If you're taking a break from digital devices, we have a bluetooth speaker to play your favorite music, books, and board games. LOFT: Relax in a queen-size bed and stargaze all night by laying underneath the skylight. You might see a few shooting stars! OUTDOORS: You'll have access to great hiking, beautiful sunsets, amazing stargazing and the peace and quiet of nature that cannot be found in the city. Sound bowls are available for those who want to experience a sound bath escape and enjoy the soothing and transformative power of singing bowls. WEATHER: Location is about 6-8 degrees cooler than main town. Perfect weather in the summer, never too hot. Chilly in the winter, perfect time to turn wood stove on and get cozy with your significant other. WHAT'S NEARBY? Guest access Guests will have access to great hiking, beautiful sunsets, amazing stargazing and the peace and quiet of nature that cannot be found in the city. Other things to note Any extended hikes require carrying bear spray, which I provide. I have yet to see a bear in person, but I prefer to be on the side of caution. This space is not appropriate for young children under 12. There are very few neighbors, none that can be seen from the property. Rest assured, you will have privacy.
