Our 3 BR, 2 Bath home with hot tub is walking distance to kayaking, flightseeing tours & hiking trails between the port town of Seward & famous salmon fishing in Cooper Landing. Moose Pass is the ideal spot to spend time connecting with all that Alaska has to offer! Your hosts offer kayaking & hiking tours on gorgeous Trail Lake & neighboring Grant Lake & are happy to help you enjoy your Alaska vacation! The space We've put a lot of love into our home and property here in Moose Pass and we're excited to share our love for the community with visitors from near and far. Our home is located along the Seward Highway on about two acres of wooded, mountain property with a stream running through it. The small gravel driveway is marked with our address along with a sign that says "Welcome, Park Here" at the bottom of the steps of the deck where you can park. The two other cabins, woodshed and garage on site are private areas, with the three bedroom, two bath house and hot tub being designated for your private use during your stay. We fell in love with this property because of the mountain views, access to the bike path to walk or ride to town and it's location in the heart of the Chugach Mountains. Guest access Upon booking you will receive a message welcoming you with our specific address and other details about the area and your arrival. On the day of your arrival we will send you a message with the code and instructions for our door lock. As you arrive to our area you will be looking for a sign with our address painted on it, a small gravel driveway with a slight uphill grade to a 'Welcome, Park Here' sign just at the base of the deck with the hot tub on it. You made it! Inside the house we have a few areas marked 'Private' and we ask that you respect those areas by not accessing them. The garage and other buildings are also private areas. We invite guests to come and go from the property as they please. You'll notice in our 'Guide Book' that we've suggested a lot of local sites and businesses to visit, just a few minutes stroll down the bike path, right across from our house. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do! Other things to note Like many homes and properties in Alaska, our property is 'a work in process' and you may see us doing some landscaping, or moving about the place throughout your stay. If there is a need, beyond typical sleeping hours for extra privacy or noise reduction, just let us know in your initial request to stay. We also want to point out that, like many rural areas in Alaska, we use a septic style system for our toilets. It's imperative that nothing is flushed down the toilets other than your human waste and the exact toilet paper that we provide. NO SANITIZING WIPES PLEASE! It's a guarantee that they'll stop up the system. For this same reason we are not able to offer laundry facilities to our guests as this could overburden our system’s capacity. There are laundry services in Seward as well as Cooper Landing. During your stay, we live on the adjacent parcel just next door, so If there is anything you need, or If there is ever any issue at all, we want you to know we're always try to be ready to address it. Our main goal is that you have an excellent 5 star stay. Those ratings are ultra important to us, so we'll do anything we can to make sure you've got what you need to have a great visit!
