Relax with the whole family at this peaceful Cottage. Dry Run Cottage is a charming country getaway nestled in the foothills of South Mountain in Smithsburg, MD. The property is bordered by green pastures on one side and backs up to acres of natural woodlands. Peacefully meandering through the property is Dry Run Creek. On any given day you may see many different species of wildlife; whitetail deer, fox, wild turkeys, and many birds species. We are pet friendly so bring the whole family. The space The cottage sleeps 7 with 3 full bedrooms and a daybed/office room. The main living room has comfortable furniture, a TV, and many places to relax. the newly renovated kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances needed to prepare a home cooked meal. The kitchen has a dining table, a large walnut countertop/island, a microwave, and Keurig coffee machine(coffee provided) along with sweeteners and creamers. Around the corner in the office area are full sized washer and dryer. Outside there is a gas grill and firepit area. As you step outside from the kitchen back door, you will see a quaint sitting area , a large fenced in yard for pets, and a view of peace and quiet . Guest access The whole house and property is your space for the duration of your stay. There is plenty of parking in front of the cottage and to the left in front of the garage is more parking. There is a motion light near the right side of the garage that will provide enough lighting for you to enter the house if you arrive after dark.
