Welcome to downtown St. John’s :) Right in the middle of historic Gower St, this renovated 1890s house has a million-dollar view of the harbour and downtown and is a walking distance to the Mary Browns Centre. Your cozy bedroom has its own private deck access with unique ocean views. There, you can bask in the sun or watch the ships enter the harbour. Who knows, you might even see a whale! The house itself is all about hygge: warm coziness and comfort. The second floor has your own private bathroom, private bedroom, and private deck access right from your bedroom! Your bedroom has a queen bed with 6 pillows, dresser, nightstand, lots of hanging space, closet, desk, chair, books, plants, decorations. Your bathroom has a shower, toilet, vanity, storage, towel rack, hair dryer, decorations. In the warm season, your deck has two lounge chairs, a fire pit that doubles as a table, evening lights, rug, plants. The second floor also has my office where I work. The half-finished basement has basic gym equipment for those who want to exercise - just let me know in advance if you want to use it 💪 Guest access Free on-street parking is available on parts of Holloway St (which is two houses down, right around the corner), Flavin St, parts of British Square right behind the stop sign, and many other nearby downtown streets - just ensure there are no signs stating you need a permit. Always check the signs when you park downtown and let me know if you need help! During your stay I work from home so I’ll be around most of the day. I can assist with quick questions while working. In the evenings, I tend to relax in my room or in the living room and I’m always happy to chat and connect! I go to bed very early and wake up very early, and I try my best to be quiet when I wake up early so that I don’t wake you up. Other things to note I have four very curious pet rats - Rover, Pluto, Voyager and Quasar. They’re in a separate room that is not part of the shared area. I don’t think they’d trigger any allergic reactions but if you’re concerned, please let me know - the door can always be closed at all times. Also, I put in significant measures to control any pet smell and I believe it’s minimal to none based on what other guests have shared.
