Sunny, modern, family friendly cabin by the lake.

Open and airy newer cabin with lots of windows, high ceilings, all the creature comforts inside and out for a great lake and mountain vacation. Perfect for all the water sports, hiking and ATV riding. Easy access & just 20 minutes from the town of Barriere BC, and 1 hour from the city of Kamloops. The space Our Cabin is currently being renovated and will be completed by June. The renovation will include all new paint, brand new kitchen cupboards, backsplash, counters and stainless appliances and the exterior deck railings were all replaced last summer. The bathroom has a new upgraded toilet and vanity and the entire main floor will have all new flooring. The great room has high vaulted ceilings, ceiling fan, a full bank of front windows to capture the view and the sunshine. The cabin consists of a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher & is fully stocked with pots & pans, cutlery, dishes, cups, glasses, coffee maker, toaster, etc. The living room has a TV (no cable) but there is a great selection of DVDs to enjoy. The main floor consistes of two bedrooms each with queen sized beds plus a bathroom with shower as well as a Washer/Dryer if needed. Upstairs is the sleeping loft which has a double futon and 3 extra long single beds. The large L-shaped deck with barbeque can more than accommodate all your guests. It is equipped with a patio table and 6 chairs, a couple of lounging chairs to relax in plus an awning for shade. There is additional space at the back of the cabin for botche ball, badminton or for the kids to run around. We ask you to supply your own bed comforters and pillows. We supply the fitted sheets, towels, dish towels and beach towels. Guest access You have access to the whole cabin. We do leave some personal items and hope you will respect these. Other things to note Just across from us is the shared, sandy beach on East Barriere Lake. The lake is about 14km long and the typical water temperature in mid summer is around 82 degrees Fahrenheit (27C). There is a boat launch should you want to bring your own boat or water toys. The lake offers good fishing and other sandy beaches. This is a fantastic lake for water sports such as swimming, water skiing, wake boarding, kayaking, paddle boarding or just relaxing on the beach. We also have a fire pit in the front yard and a wood burning stove on the deck, usable if there are no fire bans in the neighbourhood at the time. Don't forget your marshmallows and hot dogs!
