Casa de Luz is a spacious house, newly renovated, maintaining the original colonial features. It is located on a family friendly street with restaurants, Pure spa/gym and refreshing lake breezes. It is within easy walking distance to the waterfront of Lake Nicaragua, major cultural sites, museums, and the Calzada. The house sits up off the street providing privacy from the street traffic, The house manager, Yarelis will come 3-5 days a week to care for your cleaning needs and for the bunny. The space The house is spacious with two courtyards with a large pool, the kitchen is in the front of the house and then opens to the pool/patio/garden area, then you enter the sala (living room) where you can read books, watch movies and hang out with friends and family, from there you enter the second courtyard where the mango tree is and another place to sit or play board games. There is also another small kitchen area in the back of the house, the washer machine is located. And then the 2 bedrooms (one with queen bed and one with 2 double beds and single bunk on top of one) and bathrooms are in the very back, both rooms have a private full bathroom. You will have fresh linens, bath towels, beach towels for you to use. The kitchen is well stocked with the essentials; coffee press and pour over, pots/pans for cooking, spices, salt/pepper/sugar/coffee are all there already:) Both rooms have A/C and hot water in bathrooms. Outdoor shower is not heated, but refreshing! Electricity is expensive, so please turn off A/C, lights, fans when you’re not in the rooms. There is a $100 electricity, gas and water deposit per week for those staying 7 days or longer. (You will be refunded the amount you don’t use) The house is secured with electric fence and security cameras for extra piece of mind. There are 2 cameras. One outside and one in the kitchen, feel free to unplug it for extra privacy. I keep it to be able to monitor the activity of the workers when I’m gone. Guest access The entire house is for your group to enjoy Other things to note The property is on a family friendly street. Local people refer to our street as “the happy street”. There are a lot of sounds when you live in an open air house. You’ll hear roosters, parakeets, barking dogs. street vendors selling their food, loud speakers on cars that sell things, firecrackers, these are all normal things in Nicaragua. If you’re a light sleeper, we suggest ear plugs or using white noise from your phone. Most of these noises are during the day, except the neighbors roosters that wakes before we do🙃🐓 Also, please no groups of young adults. I’d prefer to rent to families, couples, solo travelers, and smaller groups of mature friends. *Electricity/gas/water deposit to be made at time of check in for those staying 7 days or longer. $100 per week.
