Built in 1922, this beautiful centrally located apartment in downtown New Liskeard is just a two minutes walk to the waterfront, marina, boardwalk, parks and cycling/walking trails. Your family will be close to everything, including Tap That! Bar and Grill, 28 On The Lake, Wild Wings, Rainbow Kitchens, Liv 'n Gracies, as well as gift shops, clothing stores, book store, beauty salons, curling arena, hockey arena, the New Liskeard Fair Grounds and nearby parks. **See note about winter parking** The space This is an approximately 800 sq foot apartment, with a lovely living room overlooking the main street (Whitewood Ave W), with a well-equipped kitchen and two bedrooms. The first bedroom is equipped with a full/double bed, tall-boy dresser and nightstand. The second, larger bedroom is equipped with a queen sized bed, large wardrobe, and computer desk for you to work from. It also includes the washer and dryer. The living room has a sectional couch with a double pull-out bed, coffee-table, Roku enabled television, DVD, and stereo. There are books and magazines available to read, as well as a comprehensive guide to the area including information about restaurants, hiking trails, museums, galleries and so much more. The full kitchen is fully equipped with a 2 person table, a two person breakfast bar, and everything you need for making breakfasts, lunches and fine meals, including full-sized oven, microwave, Kuerig coffee maker, kettle, tea pot, pots and pans and all the dishes, flatware, utensils you will need. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and filtered water. Please enquire about games, as we have Scrabble, Monopoly, Jeopardy, and others. The television comes with Netflix, Prime, The River (all standard TV Canadian TV channels and a few US ones), Tubi and other services. WIFI is available free of charge. All water is softened by a water-softener. We check it regularly, but in the unlikely event that you are finding mineral stains on dishes, please let us know. There is also an unheated/non-air-conditioned closed-in balcony for your use for yoga, stretches, or fitness. *PARKING* Parking for small to mid-sized vehicles is behind the CIBC Wood Gundy, and accessible via the Northern Telephone parking lot and adjoining laneway. Larger vehicles may park on the street in front of the apartment during summer, and at the Municipal Parking Lot in winter. From the parking spot, just walked down the path behind the neighbouring store to the apartment at the second gate. Guest access Guests have access to the full apartment, closed in balcony, and the back yard. Other things to note The apartment is on the second floor, and there are stairs to climb. There is an on site parking spot for small to mid sized vehicles. On street parking is available for oversized vehicles during spring, summer and fall, but not winter. Winter parking for larger vehicles is in the Municipal Parking Lot on Wellington, and is a short 2-3 minute walk. The covered balcony (unheated) has some items being stored temporarily. Pets: If there is a lot of fur or damage to furniture, the full pet fee of $100 will apply. At our discretion, if you leave the apartment with little to no evidence of pet fur or damage, we will refund a portion of the pet fee to an amount determined by us.
