Recharge your batteries and simplify your life at the Hurricane Hideaway! Bring your pets! This camper is in a very private setting in a gated property partially powered by the sun and basic. This basic older camper has lived thru numerous Hurricanes and stands Florida Strong. Wherever possible, reclaimed items were damaged in recent Hurricanes were refurbished. Camper does have the basic necessities, including refridgerator, microwave, coffee maker, hot water and Air Conditioning. The space Camper is located in a very private and rural setting that is completely fenced in. We are minutes from the Airport and a short drive to the beach. We also have kayaks available for rent. We strive to make the space simple and affordable. It may not be the Ritz-Carlton, but its not a tent. J. Peterman calls it "Just a place to Flop". The roads are a bit bumpy, so make sure you are not in a hurry! Provided in the camper is a tv, dvd player and a number of movies so you can curl up on the couch! Again, this camper is simple, basic and reminiscent of a tiny home. The camper is located on a working farm, so dont be surprised if the chickens stop by to say hello! Outside, you have your own private area, complete with Deci, grill, chairs, camp stove and even your own campfire! A complimentary firelog is provided, so you can sit back and gaze at the stars. In the morning you can brew you own coffee in a french press and sit on your own personal deck and enjoy some real peace and quiet If you bring your pet, we have a tie-out that is provided for you as well as food and water bowls. As part of the rebuilding process from the hurricane, wherever possible, we use reclaimed materials from the hurricane and artwork from local artists. Property is in a rural agricultural setting. Roads are unpaved. Guest access Full use of camper, camp stove/grill, beach/campfire area. Your area private and quiet. Owners are on the property and entire property is fenced in. Other things to note The camper is an older girl that has survived the last devastating Hurricane. Its not the Taj Mahal, but its not a tent. J. Peterman calls it "Just a place to flop." Outside, the are feautures a nautical theme, most items reclaimed from past hurrcanes. It has been remodeled and decorated with a nautical theme featuring models of some of America's famous lighthouses. She is basic and not fancy in any way. But she is functional. It is smaller than most campers, and the shower is a compact rv shower. If your looking for a palace, this is not the place for you. but if you like cozy and quiet, hunker down here for a night! You do have a tv, dvd player and a variety of dvd movies and some limited streaming available. We also have limited Wifi, if needed at an additional fee. We encourage you, however to put down the phone, turn off the tv, light a fire and have and actual conversation! A complimentary firelog is provided for fireside chats!(As long as we are not in a burn ban!) We offer weekly and monthly discounts. We also offer early check in for an additional fee.
