Description
Wildcat Lodge is a beautiful cosy Highland log cabin situated on the Big Sky croft. With a spectacular cathedral ceiling, and beautiful views of our resident Highland cows. Enjoy stoking the wood burner, crisp forest walks in wintertime or relax on the veranda to watch the Highland cows and Red Kites, or just sit and gaze into the distance, (no traffic sounds at all, well maybe one car). Getting back to nature and spending quality time with loved ones is what a stay at Big Sky is all about! The space The lodge is furnished with comfy leather sofas, several pieces of hand-made furniture and original artwork, colourful cushions and textured throws. There is also a TV and dvd player, digital radios, and lots of books and DVD's to keep you entertained. The ground floor is open plan with a toasty log burning stove (Free firewood!), fully equipped shaker style kitchen, dining area and a veranda with outdoor seating. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need during your stay plus tea, coffee, hot chocolate, tunnocks teacakes and fresh milk to welcome you. The additional cosy mezzanine living area upstairs, is great for a kids hideout, or the perfect spot to curl up with a good book and a glass of wine. There are two double rooms and a cosy twin room, all with en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels. Outside there is outdoor seating and a charcoal BBQ under a covered veranda, and a private garden with views across our beautiful Croft grazed by our friendly resident Highland cows. Wildcat Lodge has it's own parking space for up to two cars. After a long day exploring the spectacular Highlands you can light the log burner, get the kettle on and crack open the Tunnocks teacakes. Guest access Wildcat lodge is set on our croft at Big Sky and has its own spacious garden with outdoor seating and charcoal BBQ. There are miles of footpaths through nearby Spittal wood which can be reached through a blue gate at the bottom of the Big Sky driveway. Other things to note We are located just 10 miles North of Inverness so are in the perfect countryside location to explore the city and the whole of the Highlands. The village of Muir of Ord is only two miles away. It has a small supermarket, butcher, baker, pub, garage and two very nice cafes.
