Stunning position on the headland overlooking the impressive Monsal Dale. Far reaching views over the viaduct. 2 miles to the market town of Bakewell. Cliff House has an enviable location when it comes to walking, cycling & adventure activities. Sleeps up to 32 in 13 bedrooms and 8 en suites / shared bathrooms. New for 2025 - ECO Wood fired Hot Tub The space Cliff House is a vast beautiful Victorian house with accommodation spread over three storeys with a cottage right next door. In the main house there are ten bedrooms with luxurious en-suites to complement. Most rooms can offer flexibility with the ability to be set up as doubles or twins. There is an additional bedroom / tv room on the first floor which has a sofa bed so ideal for 2 children or one adult but there are no doors to make the room private. A stunning dining room flooded with light with large bay windows to one end. The decor of Victorian style panelled walls with traditional oak floors and the chandeliers give the room a grand charm. There is also a seating area with sofas and chairs Cliff House has a huge, fabulous kitchen with small breakfast table. The spacious kitchen is equipped with ample storage, plenty of crockery, cutlery, pot and pans it is well stocked with all the mod cons. Opposite the dining room is a formal lounge, with opulent velvet furnishings. Also on the ground floor is a coat and boot room with extra dishwasher and wine fridge. Next to the cloakroom and just off the kitchen is a downstairs WC. Steps lead down to a sunken landscaped private garden with lawn and patio area which enjoys far reaching views of Longstone Edge. There is outside seating for 25 which is over 3 separate areas. There is bike storage on site too. There is a 7kw Electric Vehicle charger located to the R/H side of the main front entrance and minimal charges apply New for 2025 Eco Wood-Fired Hot tub (with jets!) perfect for up to 7 guests with scenic views towards Longstone Edge Guest access Exclusive use of the self catering accommodation Other things to note Each bedroom offer flexible options that can be made up as twins or doubles so you can pick and choose your layout to suit. You need to have made your request two weeks in advance as the beds cannot be changed upon arrival as there is no staff on site. We provide each guest with fresh towels, hand soap and shower gel in the bathrooms. Plenty of private parking for around 10-12 cars (roadside parking nearby if more required) If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the Peak District with plenty of country pursuits but are not looking for a party venue, this is the ideal property for your stay. We also accept well behaved Hen/Stag groups but please be mindful that it is within a village location. Please note that we are dog friendly at this property however, dogs must be kept under control at all times and never be left unattended. For your information, a maximum of 4 dogs are allowed on site if pre-arranged - they are welcome in all downstairs areas, but you will be expected to keep them out of the bedrooms and off the soft furnishings. We do charge £30 PER DOG for the duration of your stay. For the comfort of all guests, outdoor shoes are not generally worn on the carpeted area of the house, so don’t forget your slippers! Noise Policy - due to the quiet location, late-night noise must be confined to inside the building by 10 pm as neighbours are in close proximity. Please respect this. No fireworks, drones or Chinese Lanterns; you are on the edge of a National Park with wildlife and livestock close by. Wifi – we provide free wifi however, as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location, sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control; we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided
