Devon Woodland Getaway

On the edge of a forest, with countryside views, easy access to the coast, yet only 7 miles from central Exeter, this location has lots to offer. Dog friendly with an acre of grounds, forest and countryside walks straight out of the door. As a base to explore the surrounding area, be it Dartmoor, Dawlsh or Haldon Forest or just an escape to spend time in our peaceful garden you will be welcome into our home. The space Our home is a stone built, two storey, four bedroom detached house that stands in an acre of garden. Backing onto an area of woodland called Black Forest, part of the wider Haldon Forest. The house and gardens once formed part of Mamhead House Estate, and although not a listed building, the gardens are listed as of having historic interest. Situated with Exeter to the north & Dawlish south, Mamhead is an ideal base for your south Devon getaway. There is ample parking for your vehicle on our drive. You are very welcome to have a wander around the garden, and say hello to our chickens. We AirB&B one double room with an en-suite shower room and another room with a Queen size bed (suitable for one person) this one has a shared bathroom. Both bedrooms are recently decorated have a homely feel. Guest access Apart from your bedroom, you will have access to our dining room should you want to make yourself a hot drink or if you have choosen to have breakfast during your stay. During your stay We will be usually be in or around the garden should you need anything. Other things to note We have a very friendly Standard Poodle called Red, who just loves people and other dogs. Breakfast is available, at an extra charge, dependant on requirements and we need notification at least 48hrs in advance.
