Fireweed Suite has everything necessary for your comfortable stay. The sitting room with TV can convert to a second bedroom with queen bed. Please notify your hostess if you wish to have the second bed made-up. The suite's bedroom has a queen bed. WiFi throughout the suite. Private full bath. Private entrance. Free off-street parking for your car. Inspected and approved accommodation. Current hot tub was installed June 2022. It has a locked canopy cover. Hot tub is available in summer months. The space The decor of this suite is Alaskan from antique snowshoes to display of bear skull with gold tooth and small moose rack. (The bear was shot in self-defense on a remote fishing trip by Caroline's dad; the moose was shot by Craig when they lived in Fairbanks. The meat was delicious.) Total blackout shades are in the sitting room and bedroom for guests ease of sleeping in the summer's night sunlight. The Fireweed Suite's kitchenette is equipped with sink, counter space for eating, small refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, two-burner range, and coffee maker. Dishes and cooking utensils are provided. Suite has handicap features which include ramp from private parking to your private entrance, grab bars in the bathtub/shower, and wider doors. A handicap shower stool is available if requested. Art work on the wall ranges from drawings of fireweed to native artist work depicting a food cache. Guest access Guests have access to kitchenette, sitting room, bedroom, and private bathroom within the suite. Also guests can enjoy the garden and grounds by sitting on the deck's chairs & bench or on a glider or chair within the garden. A stone bench on the property is placed beside Chester Creek so guests may sit and quietly reflect. A BBQ is also available if requested. During your stay Hostess is always available via text and loves personal interaction. Both Caroline and Craig have many ideas of things to do and see in Anchorage. They have lived in Anchorage for more than 40 years and in Alaska for more than 50 years. Other things to note The Fireweed Suite is offered as an accommodation only. Breakfast is not provided; however, you may buy food at a local grocery store and prepare breakfast within your suite's kitchenette.
