Camp Coyote is a special hideaway tucked into the pines on 10 acres in the Adirondack Mountains. The main cabin can sleep 4 between the queen bed and double floor mat in the loft. Camp Coyote has been featured in Adirondack Life Magazine as one of the most unique small spaces in the region. Build a fire and relax in the mountains. 15m to Lake Placid, 10 to Whiteface ski resort, and 5 min to the swimming holes and shopping in downtown Keene. The space The studio cabin can sleep four, with a queen bed on the main floor & full size, plush floor mat in the loft above [ladder access, not recommended for young children or older guests as there is no railing in the loft]. The floor mat folds into a small couch that’s left to be used as a reading nook, unless requested as a second sleeping space. The property’s trails connect to beautiful back country roads perfect for walking, running and mountain biking, located within minutes from a variety of swimming holes and trail heads. The (outdoor) shower is located on the back porch and delivers a steamy outdoor bathing experience, even on cooler days. Outhouse is a short walk (apx 40 ft) from the cabin. Solar lights and back porch light provide visibility at night. The patio, hammock, platform deck, and fire pit offer options for afternoon relaxation and evening fun. Charcoal grill provides additional cooking options. Our Norwegian wood stove provides ambiance and plenty of warmth in the cooler months. Dry wood and kindling will be stocked and a very efficient space heater keeps it cozy over chilly nights. Camp Coyote does not have a TV, feel free to bring a laptop for streaming services, if desired. WiFi is fast and reliable for work and entertainment. Bluetooth speaker offers options for tunes/entertainment or wake up and fall asleep to the sounds of the forest. Our property is perfect for those looking for a quiet place in the woods to relax and access the outdoors. The driveway is unpaved and the main parking area is located at the bottom of a small hill the cabin sits atop. Please note, only 4-wheel drive vehicles can easily make it all the way up the hill. We take pride in provisioning our space with high quality linen bedding, antiques, and home goods. We love pets, and ask that if they’re joining you, to let us know and pack any necessary bedding options to avoid any damage to the linens and furniture. Cats are always welcome. Please note that we are located in the woods and offer a traditional, rustic Adirondack experience. We do not recommend staying at Camp Coyote unless you feel comfortable and safe in the forest, using an outhouse, and managing animal visitors that food may attract. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire 10 acre property. Other things to note 4 burner, propane range top [no oven]. Toaster oven. SMEG fridge. Outdoor Shower (hot water). Outhouse. Loft is accessible by ladder. Bluetooth Speaker. Wi-Fi. The property does not have an indoor bath. The only indoor plumbing is to the sink. There is a bistro set on the patio that can be brought inside or onto the porch for dining, if needed. We ask that you avoid eating on the bed, as the linens and bedding we provide are of high quality. Dry firewood is provided for the wood stove, please bring your own for the fire pit. Dirt driveway is accessible by any vehicle, but please do not drive up the short hill from the main parking area unless you have 4-wheel drive. The cabin is located in the woods, please ensure all food is put away and cooking areas are kept clean in order to avoid attracting animals.
