The space Our cozy country home and guest house sit on a fully fenced, secure property and comfortably sleep 10 guests (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plus a back-up latrine). ❤️ Why Guests Love This Place Peaceful garden setting: Two private acres filled with orchids, native plants, frogs and birdsong — perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. Close to everything, yet quiet: Just minutes from downtown Cobán, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and transportation, but tucked into a calm neighborhood. Ideal base for adventures: Convenient for Semuc Champey, caves, waterfalls, tubing, and jungle hikes throughout Alta Verapaz. Great for birders: Over 130 bird species recorded on the property and excellent birding tours nearby. Comfortable for families & groups: Space to spread out, kid-friendly gardens, and room for everyone to unwind. Reliable for longer stays: Wi-Fi, laundry, full kitchen, and a separate office make it easy to settle in. Warm local support: On-site caretaker and optional household services help guests feel cared for and connected to the community. Two gentle guard dogs on the property for added security. Guest access Short-term guests will have access to full outdoor space and the main and / or back house, depending on size of group. Long-term guests will also be granted use of the home office. Please ask Juanita or Nelson for laundry services support. Other things to note Parties are not allowed. The first guest is $50 / night, and additional guests are $20 / night / person. For longer stays we can consider a change to these fees....reach out to discuss a deal! Security is an issue in Guatemala, and we have worked to make our property safe and secure. We know of no other place in Coban that offers such a beautiful and extensive area that is also truly secure AND offers complete privacy.
