Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Your host, tash, will ensure you won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place, in a central, yet private and secluded part of town situated on 3 acres of sweeping lawns and lush gardens to explore. Use of the large, well-equipped kitchen, sumptuous breakfast provisions, & a local wine and produce platter are included. You also have your own living space, TV room, & desk in the bedroom should you need to check in with work. The space Story of homestead Located in the Wrattonbully Wine Region, 15 min drive to the Naracoorte World-Heritage listed caves, the historic Narracoorte homestead is the who's who of the townships' forefathers - George Ormerod, William MacIntosh and Thomas Magarey, names synonymous with the main streets and buildings of Naracoorte each built impressive dwellings on the property previously known as Naracoorte Station, the regions' premier Sheep Run in the later 1800's. Your stay is in the self-contained portion of The Homestead, & is separated from other guests on the property . . The property is also home to two identified Indigenous scarred trees, and a magnificent Moreton Bay Fig, as well as hidden lavender-lined pathways, and Ormerod Cottage featuring a romantic private garden. *The perfect space for small corporate events; a private meeting room with catering facilities is available for training/education purposes Cleaning is included in the price, but as with any privately owned premises we ask that the guests leave the place as they found it. Cleaning equipment is provided in the kitchen cupboards. The premises are used on other occasions for business and another building is the residence of the host so we ask that guests treat the place with respect. Guest access The area allocated for this booking has a private living area, bedroom and en-suite, and access to the full kitchen, and outside areas. The home has an 3 additional bedrooms, formal living & dining areas. Dependent on your requirements, additional rooms will be available for your group. The other rooms in the homestead will not be booked/utilised when this area has been booked. Outside, separate & private, there is a heritage cottage that may be booked for the duration of this stay, however it is private/separate to this booking. Guests may see one another when accessing their vehicles, and are advised to be mindful & considerate to others on the property. The owner also resides on the property in a 3rd historic building & may access the laundry attached to the main homestead from time to time during your stay. During your stay Please communicate any changes of plans, or contact me for any local information, queries for the direction of your stay. I am always on hand to assist. The property is large and there’s always work to be done.! Other things to note Please be mindful that the building is heritage listed and also be considerate of the long-term neighbours surrounding the 3 acre property. It is a wonderfully supportive community and they are as excited as I am to be once again welcoming guests to the town’s most historic site. From time-to-time conservation and preservation work may occur at the site. Your hostess will endeavour to not have works affect your booking. **Your booking helps to assist in the preservation of the historic home - with new guttering and roofing the next top priority for the homestead. Please request a short-stay for your group if the calendar appears blocked - sometimes I can accept a shorter/smaller booking, upon request
