Private, Quiet Guestroom Suite

Our guestroom suite will welcome you to your home away from home. A quiet, comfortable bedroom with private entrance, kitchenette, private bathroom, and view of our woodsy backyard while enjoying the back deck. Designated street parking for one car. Located in a quiet neighborhood with nearby hiking and biking trails to Galbraith Mtn. Close to beautiful Lake Whatcom and Whatcom Falls Park. Conveniently located 3.5 miles from downtown Bellingham for local shops and eateries, and near WWU. The space The room is a large bedroom with lots of natural light, on the south and west corner of our home with a queen size bed, full closet, dresser, and private bathroom with a shower. The kitchenette has a sink, fridge, microwave, utensils and storage to help you prepare easy meals or reheat take out. There is a small table for dining and also a designated workspace table with Roku TV for streaming shows using your subscriptions and logins. Please note: there is no Cable TV. Single parking for a regular size vehicle is on the street level and private entrance is up a moderately sloped driveway and around the side of the house. Guest access In addition to the guest suite, you'll have access to the shared back deck and garden to relax and enjoy watching the birds at the feeders and the squirrels race around in the trees. In house laundry access can be arranged for guests staying longer than a week. Please note: for heavily soiled laundry there is a public laundromat conveniently located 2.5 miles from our house. During your stay We try to be available to greet you upon your arrival, and we also respect your privacy. We are here to answer your questions and can point you in the right direction for local recommendations if you'd like. For guests staying longer than one week, if you'd like access to laundry facilities, please ask. Other things to note By arrangement, one additional registered guest option for stays of one week or less with an extra guest fee of $25/night. Please note: this space is not suitable for children under 13. Be assured cleaning policies adhere to all guidelines and recommendations to reduce the spread of viruses. On Mondays and Tuesdays late afternoon/early evening I teach one or two 45 minute music lessons from home. The guestroom is very quiet. You should not be disturbed but you may hear the piano. The lessons end by 7:30p. For guests staying longer than one week, room cleaning and fresh linens can be arranged for an additional cleaning fee. To be sure this space is a good fit for you, please carefully read over the house rules prior to booking. Note: there is no EV charging available on our property. There is a convenient EV charging station at Fred Meyer a short 3 miles away.
