This well decorated home is in a great location just 4 blocks south of Golden Gate park, a short 10 min walk from great restaurants along Irving, and 15 from the UCSF Parnassus campus. The house is my main home but I have opened it up for guests as I travel frequently. It’s well cared for and perfect for an individual, small family or couple visiting the city for a short stint! . The space Upon entering the home you immediately head upstairs into to a large living room and adjacent kitchen. The living room has a huge TV and a turntable with a small selection of vinyl records. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and everything you need for a home cooked meal. The sunny main bedroom is off of the kitchen and has a comfortable king bed. The second bedroom has been mainly converted into an office with a sit/stand desk. There is a comfortable pull out couch that easily converts into a bed. However, it is too tight to work and have the bed open at the same time. This room also has a TV. Clean/minimal decoration and lots of plants make the space feel alive. The backyard is really an oasis - it's lush with plants and offers views of the city and you can just see the tips of the GG bridge on a clear day. Coffee on the deck in the morning can't be beat. There is a couch, fire pit and a grill available for guest use. One parking spot (blocking the garage) may be available for your use but please let me know if you will need to park there. If it’s already taken, street parking is relatively easy to find close to the house. You will find the area walkable, though the house is on a hill. Walking down to Irving street is an easy breezy 10-12 minutes, but walking back up is a little bit of a workout. The N Muni line is just 2 blocks down the hill (6 minute walk) and it’s a quick 20-30 minute ride to get downtown to Market street and connecting Bart lines. Please keep in mind that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. My home has a lock box located at the entrance. Before your stay, we will email you check-in and access instructions. Guest access You will have the unit to yourselves plus the shared back yard with patio and BBQ to use. I will give you privacy in the back yard when you are home except my Golden Retriever, Penny, may try to say hello. There is an in-law style apartment on the lower level with it’s own entrance, where I stay or have other guests. Please do not disturb. There is no access to the garage or laundry. Other things to note The in law apartment door is next to the main house door so you may hear me come and go from time to time and you may hear the garage door go up & down. Keep in mind the walls are thin because this is an old classic Sunset house, built in the 1940's. There is a dog, Penny, and a cat, Molly, who normally live upstairs, but will be either out of the house or in the apartment downstairs during your stay. As mentioned, you can park in front of the garage but note that street cleaning happens every 1st and 3rd Tuesday morning starting at 8am. Also, remember to curb your wheels!
