Woodside Retreat is in a fantastic relaxing village location in Piperdam. It is a lovely, newly furbished, fresh, bright property with a private garden nestled beside woodland and located in the countryside. It is the perfect place to relax and recharge or explore and enjoy the areas nearby. Situated in Scotland beside Piperdam Golf Course, Dundee, and within easy travelling distance of Edinburgh, St Andrews, Dunkeld, Perthshire. We are dog friendly and can accommodate one house trained dog. The space Woodside Retreat has an open plan living room, kitchen, and dining area with French doors leading to a private, secluded garden, which is lovely all year round and enjoys the sites and sounds of woodland birds and trees. There is a comfy sofa, flat-screen TV and wifi throughout. A hallway leads to the bedroom with a comfy double bed and an en suite shower room. The cottage has a private entrance and garden, which is enclosed by a fence and gate for full privacy and tranquillity. Off-street parking is available next to the property via a shared driveway. Things to see and do in the area Woodside Retreat is located within a small village beside Piperdam Golf and Country Resort, offering leisure activities including golf, swimming, spa, tennis, and cycling There are also several fisheries in the area. If you want to explore the area, on the doorstep are beautiful walks, woodland, rolling countryside, lakes, and hills, as well as the chance to spot some of our more wild inhabitants - red squirrels, deer, and ospreys. The resort has a restaurant and pub in walking distance. The Birkhill Inn is only 3 miles away. In Birkhill, there is a well-stocked small Asda Shop and petrol station open until 11pm every night. Nearby, Grewars Farm shop has delicious local produce and crafts. Near Birkhill is Camperdown Park with lots to see, including a zoo and cafe, as well as Cineworld, Ice Arena, and more places to eat. There is so much to see and do in the area, Dundee is only five miles away and is Scotland's fourth largest city. It has many great restaurants, bars, and cultural spots to enjoy and is packed with exciting opportunities and attractions, such as the V&A Museum, Discovery Point, McManus Galleries, Verdant Works, cinemas, theatres, concerts, and the Mills Observatory. Our favourites in Dundee are the Selkie, the Wine Press, the Cheesery, the Birkhill Inn, the Giddy Goose, the Giddy Grill. The famous seaside town of Broughty Ferry is just 9 miles away with a sandy beach and water sports fun, craft, coffee shops, and restaurants or bars. Vissocchi’s ice cream parlour is one of our favourites. Glamis Castle is only 14 miles away, while St Andrews, famous for golfing, seaside, and its historic and cultural town, is only 20 miles away. Perth is also 20 miles away with attractions such as Scone Palace, Black Watch Castle, and Museum. A lovely place to visit and explore is Dunkeld with lots of dog friendly places to see and eat as is the Meiklour Inn. For cafes and a run in the car the Pine Cone Cafe and gift is worth visiting, as is the Three Witches (dog friendly) cafe around 10 miles away.
