Coachwood Cottage

Farm stay in Dorrigo. The space The cottage is set on a 30 acre property with a nice manicured lawn. The cottage is open plan living with two bedrooms upstairs. It's bright with lots of natural light. It's gas hot water and cooking. The cottage is fully off the grid with a battery bank. With basic pantry items to get you going tea, coffee pods and machine, sugar, salt, pepper, oil, baking paper, cling wrap, foil, eggs from our chooks, butter, bread, milk and some fruit. All bed linen and towels supplied. Behind the cottage there is our private rainforest with beautiful soft wood trees (hence the name coachwood cottage). Guest are more then welcome to go walk through the forest its a majestic place to practice forest bathing (Shinrin - Yoku), with all the stresses of life its shown to significantly reduce blood pressure and stress levels, as well as have cardiac and pulmonary benefits. We have a paddock at the front of the cottage with our Red and Fallow deer. From the front door or sitting at the breakfast bar you'll be able to keep an eye out for the deer, they love to come out of the soft wood early in the morning and in the afternoon, on overcast days they will be out and about through the day. We have corn so you can feed them. While sitting out the front of the cottage you can just take in the panoramic views while listening to the birds. Guest access Guest have the freedom to use the walking tracks in the bush behind the cottage. The lawn is quite big of space to enjoy the outdoors feeding the deer and the wild birds.
