A VILLA DESIGNED FOR SPACE AND NATURE The property sits on an exceptionally large private estate. What makes it special is not just the villa, but the surrounding environment: mature tropical gardens, open space, and the constant presence of nature. You are not staying in a typical villa - you are staying in a private landscape: this is one of the rare estates of this size available around Yogyakarta. The nature setting is part of the experience: the sound of the adjacent Boyong river is constant and peaceful, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere, which you will enjoy from the panoramic terrace. The Villa Undhak-Undhak Kemiri enjoys beautiful views: Mount Merapi to the north and Yogyakarta city to the south. Instead of a standard pool villa, you'll experience a rare private estate with space, nature and calm. A UNIQUE FEATURE YOU WON'T FIND ELSEWHERE Within the garden, you’ll find my Turtles' Palace, home to two large Sulcata tortoises. Guests are welcome to observe and feed them, and enjoy this unusual and memorable part of the property -especially appreciated by children, but equally surprising for adults. The Turtles' Palace is right by the Villa Undhak-Undhak Kemiri's terrace. LAYOUT & LIVING EXPERIENCE The Villa Undhak-Undhak Kemiri is designed as a flexible, open living space, rather than a standard multi-room layout. This creates a relaxed, informal atmosphere where guests can share time together, either in the carefully decorated living room, either on the terrace which comprise a kitchenette and a dining area, and which faces the Boyong river valley. COMFORT & AMENITIES Daily breakfast prepared for you. Reliable high-speed WiFi (suitable for remote work). Large outdoor areas for relaxing, with the possibility of making a big camp fire if you want (weather permitting). Beautiful bathroom with separated bathtub and shower, hot water of course, washing machine that guests can use. Several Indonesian traditional music instruments are available, as well as an acoustic guitar. PRACTICAL CONVENIENCE (HANDLED FOR YOU) We actively help remove the usual “logistics stress” of staying outside the city: Airport/train station pickup and drop-off. Scooter rental arranged in advance (providing you know how to drive one, and have a driving license...) Easy access to local drivers. Food delivery options available. DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE This is not a hotel-style stay. It is a slower, more personal experience where the focus is on calm, nature, and space. Many guests choose the Villa Undhak-Undhak Kemiri specifically to disconnect from busy environments and the Yogyakarta heat, and because it's an Airbnb "like before", i.e. staying at someone's home, not being received by an anonymous property manager or key box... The setting is quiet and residential, not touristic - although close to all Kaliurang touristic activities (such as the Merapi Landmarks' jeep tour, museum Merapi, Omah Petroek art collection etc). Ideal for guests who appreciate authenticity over standardization, birders, people in need of privacy/ tolerance, families with children, artists, nature lovers etc. Dully registered with the Indonesian authorities. Guest access Guests have access to the entire villa and its private garden. You are free to enjoy all outdoors areas, relax in the different spaces around the property, and explore the surroundings at your own pace. The Turtle's Palace is also accessible - please interact respectfully with the animals. Large, secure and private parking. Other things to note NUMBER OF GUESTS: maximum occupancy is 6 guests. The number of guests must match the booking. Any additional guests not declared in advance will not be accepted. Visiting friends are not accepted, unless you ask me before, and then it's fine. BREAKFAST/FOOD: breakfast is included. I usually prepare pancakes (with Nutella) and offer fruits. Tea, coffee and mineral water are complimentary during your stay, as much as you want. There are many restaurants in the vicinity, and I will be happy to recommend the good ones for you. I also can cook basic but tasty simple dishes, if you don't have your own vehicle to move around, or order local food to be delivered to you. See the photo of the menu in the kitchen's photo section. MASSAGE: massages are available, from Ibu Satinem from the Kemiri village, and must be booked in advance. Prices are below the food menu, see the photo in the kitchen’s photo section. PET-FRIENDLY: you can bring your pets, no worries, the land is big and adapted. Please just make sure that the Villa remains clean, and inform us in advance if you plan to bring some. FREE CLEANING SERVICE ALL THE TIME: cleaning is included regularly during your stay to maintain comfort. TRANSPORT SERVICES/JEEP TOUR: For any transportation needs, please ask me or Lestari, we will be glad to find a solution for you. It’s easy to get you a car with driver to take you anywhere, to pick you at the airport etc. The prices are very reasonable. We can also book for you the famous Merapi Landmarks Lava Jeep tour, with Joes Adventure Lava Tour company, the jeep coming directly to the Undhak-Undhak Kemiri to pick you up, without the hassle for you of having to book this tour on Jalan Kaliurang. The tour costs between 400 to 600.000 Rp depending on the tour you choose, and I do not take any commission, just help you to book it.
