Enchanting dog-friendly cabin near hiking, skiing

Introducing Wolf Lodge, a magical artist-designed four-season cabin located in Fryeburg, ME - home of the historic Fryeburg Fair! Escape to the countryside and explore the nearby 50,000 acres of the White Mountains in Maine, where you can enjoy everything from skiing to hiking, kayaking to swimming, and much more. Conveniently close to North Conway shopping, Storyland, Mt. Washington, and the Magic Lantern in Bridgton, you'll find countless lakes, ponds, trails, and attractions nearby. The space Inside Wolf Lodge, you'll find a cozy and charming atmosphere. The cabin is an artist-designed, 3-bedroom log home. Your kids - or the kid inside you - will love exploring the home with clever and enchanting details you won't find in a typical hotel / home stay. You'll immediately notice the barn wood details and 18th century wavy glass windows when you enter the home. There's an old farmhouse sink, a 1930's science lab table custom made with turtle shell feet, and an old phone booth turned into storage cabinet in the kitchen. You’ll want to snuggle up to the gas fireplace in the living room. One of the upstairs rooms features a custom-built log loft bed and is stocked with art supplies. Many of the home and furnishings are made from lovingly worn antique/vintage materials, which we find to give it all its character. As of Fall 2025, our hot tub is finally up and running! Yay! We are not offering it as an official amenity at this time, more as a bonus! We are going to try it out to see if it works out well. We'll keep you posted. We have a large, 85" tv in the living room which is great for movie nights and there's also a tv in every bedroom. .We also offer games and books, and there's a chaise lounge with a reading light... Pour your favorite drink in a mug and enjoy the cabin in the woods in Maine. Our cabin is located about 5 minutes to Swan Falls access point of Saco River, where you can find Saco River Canoe and Kayak Rentals (they also offer tubing now) - they also can give you the skinny on all the best lakes, ponds, rivers in the area. We are 1.5 miles from access point for Lovewell Pond we are close to Saco River, Pleasant Pond, Kezar Pond, Weston's Beach, to name just a few. We are on an unincorporated road, in a private subdivision. You will definitely be in the woods, but we do have neighbors. You can access the division trail directly across Portland St, it runs about 8 miles total. We are about 1.5 miles from public access to Lovewell Pond, about 2 miles from the 302 West Smokehouse Tavern and the Fair Grounds Coffee Shop, and a little over 3 miles to the famous Fryeburg Fair, which takes place in October every year. SKIING: Pleasant Mountain (Shawnee Peak) is closest, about 11 miles away. Also nearby: Cranmore Mountain Resort (25 minutes), Attitash Mountain Resort (35 minutes), Bretton Woods, (45 minutes), Loon Mountain Resort (about an hour), Sunday River (about an hour). FAMILY FUN: Storyland is about 35 minutes away and UberBlast, Conway Scenic Railroad, Mt. Washington Valley Children's Museum are about 20 miles away. OUTDOOR misc: Mountain Division Trail (access right across Portland St.), Jockey Cap Trail (5 minutes), Hemlock Bridge (18 minutes), Mt. Tom Preserve - The Nature Conservatory (8 minutes), Mt. Tom Trail (11 minutes) OUTDOOR WATER: Public access to Lovewell Pond (1.5 miles) Close to Saco River, Pleasant Pond, Kezar Pond Guest access Entire home and except the basement unless you're using the laundry. There is also a driveway and large yard with fire pit, grill, and chairs for use. As of Fall 2025, the hot tub is up and running! We aren't offering it as an official amenity, more of a bonus. The artist shed outside is not accessible at this time. Other things to note We are happy to welcome up to two dogs by same owner, but please let us know beforehand and ensure they are well-behaved and kept on a leash when outside. We ask that you clean up after your dog and not leave them unattended to avoid any damage or disruption to the property. Please note that due to allergies, we can only accommodate dogs and no other types of pets. The refrigerator and microwave are on the small side...and since the home is set up for short stays, it isn't a cause for concern, but something to be aware of as you plan your stay. There are tvs in each bedroom and they all come on with some kind of smart screen, and the house has Spectrum internet wifi service. You're welcome to use the guitar, too. The basement is currently used only for our storage, but you can use the laundry in the basement. There's a new mini-split heating/cooling system in the house - one unit in each bedroom and one in the living / dining room area, and you'll definitely want to bring some slippers or fluffy socks for the tile and wood floors in the winter time! We have coffees, teas, sugars, sweeteners, honey, some spices and condiments, loads of toiletries, as well as extra sheets and towels available. The kitchen is well stocked with sturdy pots, pans, bakeware, silverware, and other kitchen tools. As of Fall 2025, the hot tub is up and running! We are not offering it as an official amenity, but as a bonus! Please read House Rules on hot tub use. We're fine with you having people over for a casual dinner or get-together, but we can't allow parties that would disturb our neighbors. Also, please note that we can only accommodate up to six guests overnight due to limited supplies and our well/septic system. Please be aware that our house is not toddler-proof. If you have young children, please exercise caution and use your own discretion. We may allow commercial photography or video shoots on a case-by-case basis, but there may be additional fees. Our cabin may not be for everyone. Please consider staying elsewhere if you prefer a sterile hotel environment, require room service, dislike nature or wildlife, or do not have proper winter/mountain tires. Although we have modern amenities, please keep in mind that we are in the woods and internet service can be spotty. We hope you'll embrace the natural surroundings and enjoy the adventure.
