Apple Tree Cottage

Apple Tree Cottage has been owned by our family for many years. We were born and brought up on the wonderful Mersea Island. We now welcome you to share our love of Mersea Island by staying in our Cottage. Apple Tree Cottage is a 1930s detached property with parking for 3 big cars or 4 little cars in a prime anchorage location; being 3 minutes from the water’s edge. The cottage offers numerous treasures enabling you to enjoy all this unique Island can offer for a perfect British Seaside Stay The space Apple Tree Cottage, which sleeps 4 people, has 2 bedrooms, 1 with its own king-size bed and ensuite shower and a separate toilet; whilst the other bedroom has a double bed. There is another family bathroom, which could be used exclusively by the second bedroom guests; to afford more privacy if you wish. The Cottage has a light and airy, well-equipped kitchen, with its own dinning area. There is an adjoining conservatory; which is a real sun trap and the ideal place for relaxing. The lounge has comfortable seating, a TV and DVD player, a pleasing flaming effect electric display fire and there is central heating within the Cottage. The patio garden, with its own table and chairs, provides tranquility and a place to ‘chill’; whilst you take in the Mersea sea air, over a nice cool drink, or a cup of tea. There is adequate parking, for up to 4 cars at the front of the Cottage. This is a real asset in Mersea; especially in the sunny summer months. Because of the age of the Cottage, it is unlikely to be suited for disabled. Please note there is just one small step leading into the cottage and all the accommodation is on ground level. Other things to note West Mersea, which is approached by the Strood ( the road adjoining the island to the mainland), so please check the tide times before making your journey. Please note: There is currently some building works taking place behind the cottage. The working hours are usually between 8-4 Monday-Friday. Although recent guests have said this has not affected their stay, I would just like to bring it to your attention. Thank you
