Wonderful Ocean-front location offers broad, breathtaking views from every room and easy access to the water's edge. Adorable 2 Br, 1.5 BA cottage recently completed, high-quality workmanship. It is a well-appointed year-round island home with radiant heat, Jotul stove, air-conditioning, fabulous deck, security and sprinkler systems, built-ins, stylish kitchen with concrete countertops, hardwood floors,vaulted ceiling in LR. This home is walkable to 'down front' yet removed from congestion. The space The house is a perfect vacation home. It has every amenity that we could think of to make your stay relaxing and cozy. It has flow through ocean air to make your days and nights rejuvenating. It has two good size bedrooms over-looking the ocean, with extremely comfortable beds, and luxurious white 1000 thread count 100% cotton sheets. The bedrooms are on the second floor and each bedroom has three windows on two different walls overlooking views of the ocean and lighthouse and playful wallpaper behind the velvet headboards. The soft light from wall sconces allow for peaceful reading in the evenings. The hardwood floors are covered with area rugs made with natural fibers. Ceiling fans in each bedroom allow for great airflow and temperature control. Enjoy a bath or shower in the second floor bathroom with serene blue/green grasscloth and bead board walls with lighting reminiscent of nautical ships, marble floors and toilet with bidet. Dry off with our 800 gsm, white, fluffy towels. A full size washer and dryer is available in its own space on the upper floor. We only use unscented cleaning products without dyes or perfumes which includes the laundering of the bedding and towels as well. We provide laundry soap sourced from the local "Go Go Refill Company" and only use white distilled vinegar for softener. Essential oils with cleaning properties such as peppermint or orange is used for deep cleaning and floors. The fifteen foot whimsical stairwell has three windows that open as well. It also contains the only heat pump for the entire space. This will provide air conditioning in the warmer months and heat in the cooler months. The heat is supplemented with radiant floor heat on the first floor and a linear gas stove in the living room. Guest access The guests have complete access to the entire space except for a mechanical closet on the first floor and the basement. The larger of the two bedroom closets has a set aside portion on the top shelf for housekeeping linen storage Other things to note 1.) This beautiful home has the City of Portland public water and sewer. 2.) We have 2-4 bicycles available for guest use as well as some "razor" style scooters. These are available to be used at guests' discretion and can not be guaranteed to be in fully functioning condition. Feedback from guests is important in order to have maintained in a timely fashion. Some safety notes: A.) No helmets are provided by owners. B.) Guest to determine local conditions and public safety guidelines for proper and safe use of items on Peaks Island roadways. C.) Guest use of these items is considered full acceptance of the condition as safe for use. D.) Recreational equipment shall not be taken "off island" for use in other communities.
