Wander through the trails. Elevate your experience and hire a private chef or on-site masseuse. Immerse yourself in a place designed to bring you warmth, coziness and comfort, also known as: hygge. The space Welcome to Hygge House. A place designed to provide you with everything you need to have a cozy relaxing experience. Minimal furnishings with an Alaskan vibe. The house was built in 1977 and still retains several characteristic features of that time period. You'll know them when you see them ;-) It has a spacious layout with tons of natural light. Nature is a huge inspiration for the house as well as locally featured art and crafts. For your spa experience; robes, towels and slippers are provided for use during your stay. Additionally, a heated towel warmer will further spoil you. Fresh Fox Spring water is available in the bubbler and we provide North Pole Coffee Company coffee and Sipping Streams Tea for your stay. Enjoy the use of complimentary Winter items like Aurora viewing gear, snowshoes, and even towels for Chena Hot Springs. We also have Summer gear like fishing poles, picnic blankets and a cooler for your use. Whether you stay in or go outside, you have ample opportunity to explore something new...from games, books and puzzles to looking for tracks in the snow, capturing the Aurora or discovering new plants. We hope you will create experiences to last a lifetime. Guest access Guests have complete access to the main floor of the house including the garage. The basement will not be occupied during your stay. The only off-limit areas are the basement, the housekeeping closet in the main hallway, the maintenance and the boiler rooms in the garage. Other things to note 🚭 No marijuana use or consumption anywhere on property. No smoking of any kind (cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, etc), vaping, or e-cigarettes on the property--this includes in and around the house, garage, the hot tub, in vehicle and outdoors.
