Casa Antonio - Private House, Fantastic View.

Casa Antonio is a comfortable and beautiful private home with an incredible, expansive view of San Marcos, the valley, the lake and the volcanoes. It provides both the safety of living in a neighborhood surrounded by local families, along with privacy and a beautiful, open view. Relax in the sun on the deck, at the level of the treetops, looking out on the whole village and the lake and volcanoes beyond. Easy access to the street and to town. The space Casa Antonio is a small, private, one bedroom house with an incredible view of the village, Lago Atitlán and the surrounding volcanoes. Located in San Marcos La Laguna on the edge of Barrio 2, in a very safe location surrounded by local families. **Expect to hear family life going on around you.** The house and deck are private with a big, open view. The bathroom and shower are located outside, off the corner of the deck. The bathroom has both a (normal) western style flush toilet and a compost toilet. The shower and the kitchen have on demand gas heated hot water. The kitchen is equipped with everything you should need to prepare food. Filtered water will be provided for you. PLEASE NOTE: at certain times of the year the shower has low water pressure due to lower amounts of water in the village. The bedroom is very comfortable with quality cotton bedding, shelves to store your belongings and a small desk with a view of the lake. The Internet is normally quite reliable. However we can’t guarantee that it will always work. If you are working online its best to have some data on your phone as a back up. Also there are frequent (scheduled and unscheduled) power cuts at the lake. In that case you would need to use phone data and we would also recommend bringing a battery backup for your phone. PLEASE NOTE: the house is located at the edge of a Barrio in a Mayan village. While having an epic, open, private view and being a very special and safe location, there is also a lot of life going on around you. Be prepared to hear family life and occasional dogs/chickens/roosters. Guest access Casa Antonio is a private house. Guests will have access to everything; kitchen, bedroom, porch and sundeck, bathroom and shower. Other things to note Casa Antonio is located near the top of Barrio 2, a very steep hill for walking (although many people do walk up.) From the center of town it is easy to take a tuktuk up to the house, which is conveniently located near the street. From the house it is a 5 minute walk down to town; 10 minute walk to the lake and the boat dock. Or catch one of the many tuktuks that pass by.
