Portside’s Cabin Crows Nest is on the hillside overlooking Lochinver harbour, in the heart of the village. Lots of amenities within walking distance including restaurants, cafes, gift and grocery shops. The cabin & garden enjoy wide views of the village, harbour, marina & stretching along Loch Inver, with Mountain View’s of Suilven and Cul Mor. Recently re-furbished offering a cosy living/sleeping space, with a king size bed, a spacious bathroom and a well equipped kitchen for self catering. The space Crows Nest - A cosy living/sleeping space with good heating for the chilly months and fully insulated to keep a cool temp when the sun’s out. The decking area has a gas BBQ, table and chairs so you can go full alfresco or cook inside in the kitchenette with a 2 pan airfyer, plug in induction hob, fridge with small integrated freezer, pans, utensils, crockery, glasses etc…. and an island/dining table. A kitchen linen, basic supplies & cleaning pack are provided. The king bed has a memory foam mattress, lots of pillows (variety of firmness), wool duvet. Bed linen is provided. Small wardrobe with hanging and shelving, underbed space for suitcase storage. TV has ‘free to view’ channels, Wi-Fi (via an unlimited mobile data modem) & usb charging points. The bathroom has a large shower, sink and toilet. Next to the heater there is hanging/drying space/storage for wet coats, boots etc. Shower, hand and floor towels & a bathroom supplies pack are provided. PLEASE NOTE - the cabin does not have a sofa. A larger bathroom, shower and king bed fit the space. TV lounging is on the bed with 6 pillows to prop you up! Guest access Crows Nest is on the high point of Portside’s garden, approximately 50 meters from the parking area, accessed via a gravel path. The keybox alllows arrive anytime after 15.00 to fit in with your travel plans. In addition to Crows Nest’s decking space there is a fenced, communal garden area shared with Slipway cabin and The Mizzen. We are re-wilding the gardens at Portside and there are pathways cut to give access around this area and to enjoy the views, natural plants and wildlife. LOCHINVER VILLAGE has :- AMENITIES - food shops, cafes, petrol station, 4 restaurants (varying prices), Lochinver Larder (famous pie shop). WALKING & CYCLING - Access to a variety of routes, covering all abilities, nearest mountains are Suilven and Canisp THE NC500 - goes by the village and there is access to smaller road routes - ideal for smaller cars, cycling & motorbikes with amazing views to take in. WATERSPORTS - Portside is home to LOCH LAND & SEA for Paddleboard equipment hire, tuition & tours - please ask for more information. Available nearby you can hire Kayaks & canoes. BOAT TOURS - often seeing seals, otters, dolphins, sea eagles and occasionally whales - leave daily from Lochinver harbour BEACHES - Achmelvich & Clactoll beaches are a short drive away and there are numerous swimming places in many lochs and lochens nearby. FISHING - fishing tickets to various lochs and rivers can be bought in the village. Other things to note Portside House (the main house only) will be undergoing various refurbishment projects throughout 2026. This will be mostly internal work, mostly installation and decorating, so there should be minimal (if any) noise disturbance. Registration Details HI-00620-F
