Rustic, hillside house with private pool

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Perfect for a relaxing, sightseeing or walking holiday, Casa Cappella is stonebuilt and has original oak beams and terracotta floors, with contemporary touches. The ground floor living/dining area is spacious, plus there is a 'studio' room upstairs that could be used as a quiet or exercise room (eg yoga), or work. There are 3 large bedrooms and a lovely walled garden. A pool (for exclusive use) is open end May to end September. Sorry - no pets. The space The garden, with its trees and flowers, can be used for al fresco eating and sunbathing. The adjacent small olive grove/hillside garden, just across the tiny lane, now has an outdoor pool (available 23rd May - 26th Sept). The pool is for your exclusive use, and has terraces with sunbeds. Directly accessed from the walled garden the ground floor comprises a very large living/dining space with pine dining table for 10, comfortable lounge area with sofas and coffee table and a well-equipped kitchen off the dining area. Outside the back door the bicycles are stored, and there is a drying area. Steep stairs lead up to the studio/games room/yoga space/office, with its french doors and balcony. Through the studio you reach the first bedroom with french doors and small balcony with double aspect views. On this floor is a bathroom with walk-in shower. Up another flight of steep stairs there are 2 more bedrooms, one with twin beds, and a very large 'master' bedroom with king-size bed, and spare single bed. This room also has double aspect views. There is a bathroom on this level, with bath/shower over, basin and bidet. The house is rented Friday- Friday (self check in and out), but occasionally it may be possible to rent it Saturday - Saturday. Please check with us. The hills around are covered in oak and chestnut woods, which have trails and paths in many directions. Just 5km down the hill are all amenities and transport. There are great possibilities for sightseeing in Perugia, Assisi, Cortona, Spello and Spoleto, and not too far distant (easy daytrips) are delightful mediaeval & renaissance art towns of Gubbio, Siena & Arezzo. Italy's 4th largest lake, Lago Trasimeno, with watersports, is about 40 minutes drive. There are plenty of opportunities for hill and mountain walking & mountain biking, including from the door as well in the high Apennines...as well as browsing local markets, wineries and eating out.
