Large Bell Tent on the Alcantara River overlooking Etna

We are a couple of travelers who, having returned to Sicily, have created a "home" among the small gorges of the Alcantara River and Mount Etna. From our life project the Alcantara Eco Project "Cantu u Ciumi" was born A PRIVATE beautiful 6 m diameter cotton tent is available for sleeping surrounded by nature in front of Mount Etna, lulled by the sound of the river, which is suitable for swimming. Kitchen, bbq, fire space, shower and bathroom (compost toilet) are shared and organized to offer simple hospitality in respect of the environment The space The tent is designed to provide a space for relaxation surrounded by nature. Inside, you'll find two comfortable double beds with sheets and duvets (ideal for cool nights, even in summer) and a sofa bed. Clean towels and natural soap made by us are available. From the tent, you have a special view of Mount Etna, which often gives us spectacular eruptions on summer nights. Just a short walk away, you have an outdoor kitchen with everything you need to cook or store your food. (gas stove, sink with drinking water, fridge, plates, glasses, cutlery, pans and pots... and everything you need) You can also try and use olive oil from our production. You also have a brazier for the BBQ and a fire pit available. Guests also have access to a shaded chill-out area where they can recharge their phones and, if they feel like it, project a movie. In the apple grove, on the other hand, there are hammocks, and even during the day there is shade and it's a little cooler. But the most interesting part is that the Alcantara River is a 1-minute walk away, and until the beginning of September, it is normally possible to swim there with unique views and away from the tourist crowds. We will give you information about the most beautiful places to explore once you are here. From here, several trekking routes also start, and it is also a strategic point to climb Mount Etna or visit Taormina, Randazzo, and the Nebrodi.
