Guests can cook in the stocked kitchen, roast s’mores around the shared fire pit, or walk downtown to the outlet mall, restaurants, and beaches. Guests are responsible for their safety. --No pets, parties, or events – we value the relationship with our neighbors, and strive to keep the home in top condition. --Max occupancy: 6 guests --Steep stairs to the second floor – historic home built in the late 1800s (not ideal for guests with mobility issues) --Potential for noise from lower units (their ceilings = your floor) 🔔 Important Location Notes --Neighborhood is eclectic & transitional – safe but mixed; police station less than 1 mile away --Train tracks a few blocks away 🚂 (you may hear whistles; white noise machines provided for light sleepers) If you’re sensitive to noise or smoke odors, one of our other Sunshine House units (Wild Woodlands or Scenic Skies) may be a better fit. ⏰ Check-In / Check-Out --Check-In: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM --Check-Out: 10:00 AM --Note: We always try to provide early check-in and late check-out opportunities when possible. (It is simply dependent on whether or not it’s a same day check-in/out, the condition in which the previous guest left the home, and our cleaners’ schedules.) Please notify us if you would like early/late check-in/out, and we will do our best to make it work! 🕚 --Guests will receive key code & detailed check-in instructions via message on the morning of arrival. --Michigan City operates on Central Standard Time (CST). 🛡️ Booking Requirements We’re excited to welcome guests from all backgrounds and want to make sure every stay is enjoyable, safe, and comfortable for both you and our neighbors. To help us maintain a great experience, we ask that: --The primary renter is 25+ with a verified government ID. --Guests have positive prior reviews, or if not, a fully refundable $500 damage deposit hold will be required. All of this will be communicated through AirBnB messenger. --Please note that Michigan City is on Central Standard Time (CST). Check-in is any time between 4-10 PM; you will likely have guests in the unit below you so if arriving late please be very mindful of noise levels; guests must check out by 10 a.m. so that we can clean/prepare for our next renters before they arrive. --Our cancellation policy is moderate.
