Hummingbird Haus is a Scandinavian inspired chalet offering respite in the heart of Southern Vermont. Direct views of the slopes at Haystack Mountain encourage hours of ski spectating from two levels of living space. Proximity to the towns of Wilmington (8min), West Dover (10min), Mt Snow (6min), Stratton (30min) and Whitingham Lake (15min) in warmer weather makes our home an ideal location for both relaxed or active time away from the every day. We hope you enjoy staying here as much as we do. The space The house is spread across two levels of living space with picture windows facing West to the slopes on Haystack Mountain. Skiers can be viewed ascending the lifts and descending the mountain in winter. Wake up early for a spectacular sunrise reflection on the mountain and enjoy direct sun in the late afternoon with sunset beyond the mountain peak. Level 1 includes entry mud room for winter equipment storage with connection to interior entry space including bench seating and additional peg hooks for hanging coat storage. Additional spaces include Family Room, round game table (seating for 4), laundry room (washer and dryer), Sauna, Bathroom with shower, and two (1) Queen Bedrooms. Level 2 main double height space includes living, dining, and kitchen in an open concept. Additional spaces include bathroom with tub/shower, (1) Queen Primary Bedroom and a (2) Twin Bedroom. Exterior level 2 deck is accessible from the dining space with seasonal bench seating for (4). The property is on 1.25 acres accessed by a private road shared with three other houses. Plowing is provided in winter with heat mats in use to provide access from parking area to the covered front doorway.
