Giles Cottage, Dartmoor National Park
Description
A fabulous cottage, beside the River Burn on the edge of Dartmoor. A haven of peace surrounded by trees and fields, two miles from Tavistock. A river to paddle in and lots of outdoor space with trampoline, football and table tennis. Set in 70 acres of farmland, linking up with local footpaths leading to fine pubs, and cycle routes. Dogs welcome. The historic cottage (grade 2 listed) was refurbished to a high standard. Renewable energy sources: solar and biomass. The space Third bedroom (double) is in a ground floor annexe with separate access. This room is not suitable for small children. It has a walk in shower (as well as a bath); there is one step up into the annexe; it is therefore reasonably accessible for guests with reduced mobility. There are two very comfortable spacious ensuite bedrooms (one twin, one double) in main cottage. Kitchen is very spacious, ideal for family cooking. Dining room has a piano. Sitting room has a wood burner (one basket of logs provided). All rooms characterful and comfortable. Other things to note Travel cot and high chair available on request
