Spacious log cabin on the Big Eau Pleine with 6 wooded acres to enjoy and surrounded by green grass in front. 25 minutes from Rib Mountain and Lake DuBay. Furnished master bedroom with attached bath. Upstairs includes 2 modestly furnished bedrooms with queen sized beds. Loft area with a futon. Full bath upstairs. Enjoy the ping-pong table in the finished basement. Chimney fireplace on back patio and fire ring with seating out by the river. The space The main floor which includes the entrance way, living room, kitchen, and master bedroom with master bath are fully furnished. The kitchen has had many additions in terms of cookware etc recently and should be able to accommodate most cooking needs (please let us know if you feel there are additional items you would appreciate if you stay with us!). We can provide a pack and play and some utensils for kids upon request. The upstairs starts with a loft that has a nice futon for relaxing as well as additional sleeping. There is a table with chairs there as well for playing board games and doing puzzles. The selection of games and puzzles so far is a little limited, but there are 4 or 5 options for each at the moment. The 2 additional bedrooms are upstairs as well as a full bath. The larger of the bedrooms is furnished with a queen bed and two bunk beds, and a reclining chair with light for reading. The other guest bedroom up there has a queen bed. The backyard is what really sets this property apart. Immediately behind the house you'll find a beautiful patio with a chimneyed fireplace. There is a picnic table and additional chairs for seating. Relax with a small fountain and overhead lighting for extended enjoyment into the evening. As you go further back into the property you'll find an established trail that goes all the way back to the water. This trail is about a 3 minute walk. We would recommend bring boots or more significant footwear if the weather has been particularly wet as the trail does get muddy at times. Feel free to walk off trail and enjoy the 6 wooded acres surrounding the property. As you reach the water you'll find another firepit as well as seating which can be arranged as you see fit. The river is slow flowing, about 400 ft across at this point, and only a few feet deep at the edge. There are steps down into the water for easy access for swimming or kayaking. 5 houses down the street you will find a neighborhood boat launch that you'll be granted access to if you'd like to bring a boat to enjoy on the river. The river runs over 10 miles down stream with a lot of character along the way and a few spots that open up into large enough areas to do some watersports. It eventually ends in a reservoir at the damn which is quite large. Most of the river along the way is wide enough to pull tubes in a straight line.
