By the Lake Studio Space w/ Gardens & Hot Tub/Pool

You’ll treasure your time at this memorable place in the heart of Goderich. We have designed the space to enjoy outdoor living but with all the indoor comforts for a beautiful nights sleep, not to mention a pool to cool down in and a woodfired hot tub for total relaxation. It's Glamping meets the Spa! All while just steps or pedals away from the beach and the downtown square. The space The studio is a small pine cabin with a cozy queen size bed as well as a fold down sofa and an end table. The large antique stain glass and picture windows offer lots of light, and open to let in the fresh lake breezes. The studio is situated in the back of our yard, and is accessed via its own separate entrance. It is nestled behind a garden of flowering bushes, plants and privacy fence panels that give a good sense of separation and privacy from our home. The doors to the studio open to a large deck with a corner pergola and newly added covered kitchen. There you can enjoy the outdoor living room complete with a large chaise lounge, couch, and coffee table, all under the shade of the canvas roof and privacy screen. Perfect spot for listening and waiting out the rain on the wet days. If you decide to pass on beach front or downtown square dining, we offer a simple outdoor kitchen with a 2 burner propane camping stove on the counter as well as a stand alone propane BBQ to grill a meal of your own. Most of the kitchen essentials for cooking and dining are provided in the undercounter cabinet. All you need for the BBQ is on hand, including a dual sided cast iron griddle and vegetable basket. There is also an undercounter refrigerator for keeping your food and drink chilled, complete with mini freezer and ice trays. Follow the deck around to the back of the studio to find your private outdoor bathroom. Complete with a covered waterless toilet (see note at bottom), a hide away urinal and an open to the sky shower and antique washing station. We assure you a very unique bathroom experience! SEE MORE AT BOTTOM ABOUT BATHROOM AND WATER Step off the deck to a small flagstone dining patio, with dining table and umbrella, surrounded by garden poolside view. Continue across the patio to your own separate entrance to the inground heated pool and wood fired hot tub, surrounded by its own patio and flower gardens. Although the pool is shared with us, the homeowners, the pool and tub are available to enjoy most of the day and into the night. The hot tub is exclusively our guests use during their stay, while the pool is mostly exclusive, and we limit our use to a short window in the evening to end our day, or if your out and about enjoying the town or beach. Please note that the pool will also be closed sometime in Novemeber or early December dependi g o. weather. We keep the hot tub going all year. For the rest of the yard, if you like flower gardens, you're in luck! You won't get enough of the sights, smells and sounds of the many plants and shrubs that line the yard and pool. The space really does offer a quiet and scenic atmosphere to enjoy some peace and serenity. There is even a second shared patio with a campfire pit should you want to stay up late to enjoy the clear night skies. All under the cover of a magnificent tree. Although we live on the property and host you in our backyard space, we completely respect your space and hope you have the experience you want. We aren't always around but when we are, you will likely find us working in the gardens or around the yard. We are more than happy to help you with tips, advice or just chat about all what we know and love about Goderich. The pool is open starting Mid-May! When the weather does turn to cold again, the POOL, SHOWER AND OUTDOOR SINK WILL BE CLOSED based on freezing conditions. November or December typically For our amazing composting toilet, due to the design, it must be for sitting only. It will make sense when you see it. For the gentlemen that prefer to stand, there is a unique option for that also! Guest access The studio and its immediate space is exclusive to you. The backyard is shared with only the homeowners. Other things to note Just to be aware this is considered 'glamping'....very comfortable camping. The toilet is a composting style toilet with no flushing water. Users do have to sit on the toilet for it to work properly. More instructions on site. Spider webs, insects and hundreds of birds are all part of living by the lake!
