You are welcome to our artist's studio converted to a bright and sunny loft on 2 levels overlooking a charming hidden courtyard. Experience the artistic history of Montparnasse district from the times of La Belle Époque. The space Discover the reminiscence of the golden age of Paris when it was known as the capital of the world. That was a time of Universal expositions and great construction projects. The most famous is certainly the Eiffel Tower, but that is not all that remains of the 1889 Universal exposition. Our loft is part of the historic Cité d'artistes building complex which was part of the exhibition around the Efiffel Tower. The original buildings were dismantled in the 1920s and rebuild at its present location in the 14th district. Since then the artist's ateliers have been continually used as workshops and living areas. You have an unique opportunity today to admire the ingenious construction from the late of the 19th century and walk in the footsteps of some of the renowned artists of the 20th century. Some of the spaces in the complex still serve as artist's studios. The loft for rent is situated at the first floor of the building facing a quiet courtyard with a garden. The access to the loft is along a common balcony facing the garden. The loft has two full levels and a small mezzanine. The kitchen, bathroom and a dining area are on the first floor. The living room is on the second floor where you can also find a comfortable queen size futon bed. There is an extra queen size bed on the mezzanine. The whole loft is one continuous space, only the bathroom and toilet are separated. The loft is furnished in the spirit of its former use: an artist's studio. The loft is bright and spacious. The southern façade is glazed, as is the roof to the east. There is also a roof window to the west. We provide internet access, bed linen and towels. Closet space will be provided for your during your stay. We will be glad to give you some inside information on places to visit to make your stay in our home an authentic Parisian experience you will never forget. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole apartment, except some cupboards where we keep our things. Other things to note Please be aware that the flat is our home which we occasionally rent to visitors to Paris. You are not coming to a hotel with professional staff ready to fulfill your needs.
