Spacious loft-style annex on Dartmoor with Sauna

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. The annex is positioned right within wild Dartmoor in a remote location, yet just 10min drive to amenities. A perfect location for retreat or as a base for roaming the vast expanse of the moors. We also have a river just 15min walk away, so you can experience the magical fairy elemental land of Devon with oak trees and moss. Every visitor to this land leaves feeling nourished, refreshed and deeply connected to Nature. The space An expansive loft style barn space with modern furniture, king size bed on mezzanine, wood burner, open plan kitchen, rustic bathroom with hot gas shower. Guest access You have your own garden area with sweeping moor views, (we might be tending the garden at times). Access to the ping pong table in other side of the barn. Sauna available by arrangement with us. Other things to note Please note the land is approached along an ancient bridleway which is 4000 years old, see photos. The track is bumpy in parts which is absolutely fine if you drive slowly! The approach and access is unsuitable for low to ground sports cars. Vehicles up to the size of a standard transit van are all good, if you have a long wheel base then get in touch prior to booking. A generous supply of wood is included with your stay, extra wood available at cost price. The wood burner keeps the annex space toasty and warm. During cooler weather we provide heating at 18 degrees for 6 hours a day; 6-9am then 6-9pm. Let us know if you’d prefer the 6 hours per day at a different time. Sauna: Wood burning and you’re welcome to use it as often as you wish. For each sauna wood contribution is £15, if we prep it for you then £25 total. Prep takes 60-90min & regular checking- we can guide you through if you wish to make it yourself. Sauna Etiquette: Please sit on a towel for hygiene Put a few drops of essential oil into the water ladle, then onto the stones (not directly on the stones) Enjoy the cold shower after each round!
