This peaceful and warm apartment occupies part of the first floor of the former "Hôtel des Marécottes", which has kept its name. Built at the bottom of the village, this old building, now renovated and transformed, offers us a breathtaking and unobstructed view of the Trient Valley. There is nevertheless a small corner on the left that belongs to the owner next door and that is clearly marked. Other things to note In front of the building, a playground is equipped with a swing and a slide for children, and benches. Only one staircase to climb to the first floor. Inside the building, as well as outside in the village, you will enjoy a simple and accessible organization for the family, and especially without a car. 50 meters from the house, you can walk directly to your skiing, snowshoeing or sledding activities. Our "Le Bettex" shuttle bus stop takes you free of charge to the cable cars. There is a ski shop, a mini-market and a restaurant. In the village, there is a tea room and creperie. You can go to Salvan, on foot, by train or by car and you will find various shops: delicatessen, bakery, butcher and restaurants. In summer, you can hike on the side of Trétien and the Gorges du Triège, walk up the diligence road to Finhaut (below Lake Emosson), stroll along the Tour des Hameaux, visit the Marconi Museum in Salvan. A wide variety of excursions await you. Quiet walks for the whole family, Salanfe-Emosson, Van d'en haut, Col de la Golette, Dailley Gorges, Trient Valley Tour, Ruan Tour, Van Valley Tour. The Mont Blanc Express train runs from Martigny to Chamonix, via Salvan, Les Marécottes, then Finhaut, to Chamonix. It takes you in 35 minutes to the foot of the slopes of the Balme area in Vallorcine. The Marécottes Tourist Office, located in the train station, will inform you about all the train+ski packages and will give you the necessary information about the possible hikes from the different stops of this line, as well as for all the activities that take place in the region. If you arrive by train, the Hôtel des Marécottes is five minutes away by following the "Avenue de la Gare" trail. On the way back, drive 15 minutes to Martigny, then it's an hour from Lausanne and 1.5 hours from Geneva.
