Journey’s End: A Peaceful Cabin

-Located just outside Franklin, NY -Sleeps 6 comfortably -Two private bedrooms, one with a private bathroom -Bonus loft nook with two twin beds -Two full baths: shower in one and soaking tub in another -Fully equipped kitchen -Wifi, streaming friendly -Cell phone access -Outdoor grill and fire pit -50 acres with private walking/hiking groomed trails and scenic views -At end of one mile DIRT public dead-end public town road, then 1/4 mile private DIRT/GRASS road/driveway The space The accommodation is in a REMOTE location whereas the cabin is OFF THE GRID. There is no air-conditioning and no TV. There is internet for convenient streaming of entertainment via your own device(s). For summer guests, it rarely gets very hot here. The cabin is very well insulated. There are four portable fans and a ceiling fan. Tips to keep the cabin cool: In the evening, open several windows, place the large pedestal fan in front of open window next to the loft sofa so it is pointing OUT. This technique will draw cool outside air into the cabin via the other open windows. In the morning, when it starts to heat up outside, usually between 10-noon, close ALL windows and re-position the pedestal fan. Other things to note This is the only property I manage. I still work full-time. On occasion, property maintenance requires my attention even when guests are on-site. Notably, mowing by myself or someone else. The garbage guy (Girts) comes all the way up in an old truck on Mondays, but, sometimes other days. I will communicate with you if I need to come close to the main cabin for some reason and try to come when you are off-site.
