South Wing of Edwinstowe Hall

This beautiful property is the South Wing of Edwinstowe Hall, constructed in 1701 for the First Earl of Scarborough. The property a stone’s throw from Sherwood Forest and neighbours Saint Mary's Church, where legend has it Robin Hood and Maid Marion were married. The Hall itself sits in on the heart of the village and has many pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops within easy walking distance. it is stunningly decorated and furnished to a modern standard having recently been renovated. The space The South Wing is a stunning five bed property. Just off the entrance hall there is a modern shower room. Just a couple of metres away, up one small step, is a spacious downstairs double bedroom, tastefully decoraed in the same blue as the rest of the downstairs. Also off of the entrance hall is a small, but well equipped utility area which consists of a washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board, iron and hoover. As you enter the main living area the bespoke kitchen is to your left and has everything you could need. There is also a stylish and very useful quartz breakfast bar and four stools which is perfect for chats with the chef! The dining area consisting of an antique table, a church pew and very comfortable chairs. To the right is the comfortable living area consisting of three large sofas. The open plan living area is ideal for family get togethers, friends meeting up and bridal parties. The whole area is perfect for socialsiing and enjoying time togther. Upstairs there are four more spacious bedrooms along with a second shower room. The first bedroom at the top of the stairs is a large king size room with fully fitted wardrobes. Next door is a double, again with fitted wardrobes. This room has tasteful hints of forest green and is a nod to Sherwood Forest, which is just the other side of the building. Up a couple of steps is the fourth bedroom which is again very specious. This room can be made up as a twin or a king. The final bedroom is a king and has views of the famous St Mary's church. This has a fully pannelled wall and is again very spacious. The house comfotably sleeps 10 but there is ample space in all the rooms for a cot or child's put up bed, with prior consent from the hosts. Outside of the property is an ample grassed area which is ideal for children and dogs. Once the gate is close, this area is totally secure. The garden is fully south facing and overlooks St Mary's church. The South Wing has outdoor dining facilities for all guests and the host provides a BBQ with utensiles and charcoal on request.
