Sylvan Lea is tucked into the woods, so you might spot a turkey trotting by, hear a squirrel staging a nut heist, or see a deer practicing social distancing. Bears? Rare, but like us, they love snacks—So please don’t leave food in your car or out on the grill. Most wildlife keep to themselves, but it’s best to admire from afar and let them stay wild (and outside). 🌟 NEIGHBORHOOD: The Cabin is nestled privately within a secluded neighborhood and nearby noise may be a possibility. This may include an occasional rooster, dog, or lawn mower as sounds travel farther and echo in the mountains! 🌟 BUGS & INSECTS – Uninvited Guests: Our cleaners are fastidious about getting rid of dead bugs during each and every clean in preparation for your stay. Our cabin is regularly treated and inspected for pests. If there are dead bugs, that is evidence that pest control is working! Despite this, even the best bug bouncers can’t keep every critter out—especially if doors or windows, and screen doors are left open or ajar. When the weather turns chilly, little guys like Ladybugs, Stink Bugs, and Wasps think Sylvan Lea looks like a cozy vacation spot too! While we can’t guarantee a 100% bug-free stay, we’re happy to help if some sneak in. Just message us—Unfortunately there are no discounts for bug sightings, but we’ll do our best to evict any unwelcome guests. 🌟 INCLEMENT WEATHER & TRAVEL: Mountain weather can be unpredictable, and travel plans sometimes change unexpectedly.
