Stay in our spacious loadshedding-resistant studio apartment! Even during loadshedding, we have lighting, facilities to charge cellphones and laptops, and basic kitchen amenities! We are in a secluded and quiet neighbourhood, 7 mins from the N1 highway, the perfect location to get some work done via our free WiFi, even when the power is out! The location of our apartment is perfect for those who need quick access to the highway and close to several shopping centres and many great restaurants. The space The apartment is a studio apartment featuring 46 sqm of floor space. The layout is a spacious open floorplan arrangement with a kitchenette, bedroom and living area including a dedicated desk/office space. The bathroom is private and features a shower, basin and toilet. Our comfortable bedroom area comprises two single beds with a nightstand and reading light. One or two additional people (children) can be accommodated on the fold-down 3/4 sleeper couch. Bedding for this can be set up per arrangement, before your arrival, or you can find the linen in the unit's linen closet. The living room area is spacious and comfortable, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee, or for relaxing with a glass of wine in front of the TV after a long day. Our neat kitchenette is set at the back of the unit, incorporating basic amenities like a small fridge, microwave, single plate gas stove (perfect during load-shedding), kettle, cooking utensils and cutlery and crockery. There is also a cosy dining space where you can enjoy a nice meal, whether a takeaway or microwave meal, or a meal cooked on the little gas stove. The municipal water supply is also backed up by a small water tank on the property to ensure minimal discomfort and we can withstand water outages of up to 3 days or longer, depending on how sparingly water is consumed. Outside the room is a small private nook, perfect for relaxing with a book and a beverage of your choice. The space is set up with the privacy of our guests in mind. Guest access Guests will access the unit via the main gate to the property, located close to the dedicated guest parking under a shade port, to the front door of the guest unit. The front garden is accessible to guests and there is a small park within walking distance from the property. Other things to note Smoking and Vaping are not permitted inside the guest accommodation. We are pet friendly on request (depending on the pet), but we request that you adhere to our guidelines and policies if you wish to bring your furry friend, in order to respect future guests as well as our own resident pets. Details of pet policy on request. We love dogs and own large breed dogs who are kept separate from the studio apartment and guests. Our dogs are in training and hence we request that you do not interact with them. Cleaning matters: The guesthouse is thoroughly cleaned before arrival and check-in of new guests. Everyday cleaning of the guesthouse is not automatically included during your stay. Exceptions are made on request (for an additional cleaning fee) or for long stays (>5 days), which require linen and towels to be swapped.
