Comfortable house with spectacular views across town to mountains beyond; fabulous sunsets. 5 dble bdrms each w. bathrm and beautiful view. 4 bdrms have french windows on to terraces/patios. Plus large casita w. dble bdrm (available but with additional charge). SO WITH THE CASITA, 12 GUESTS CAN BE ACCOMMODATED. Big garden w. 30x10' pool ***(solar-panel heated, but never VERY warm), large gas BBQ. Internet throughout house, 43 inch TV. *** May 6 2024 Pool not usable till May 10. The main house has 5 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Each bedroom has 2 single beds that can be put together and made up as king-size for couples. Each bedroom, and the living room, and dining room have gas log fireplaces. On the terrace, facing the sunset, is a chiminea that burns real wood for when it gets chilly after the sun goes down. The casita has a kitchen and living room, bedroom (also 2 single beds that can be made kingsize) and a shower-room. There is a 43" smart TV in the living room. The kitchen has doors that open onto a very small terrace. The whole of the main house is yours to enjoy. If you would like to use the casita too, there is an extra charge ($60 per person per night). You will be met at the house, shown around and how everything works will be explained. Everything will be clean and sanitized, of course, when you arrive. If you would like any groceries or alcohol (or anything) to be in the house when you arrive, anything can be arranged if you let me know ahead of time. There is a charge for this service of 150 - 500 pesos depending on how much is ordered. The housekeeper charges 100 pesos an hour, for cleaning but with a minimum of 3 hours. Again, it is best if you tell me ahead of time if you would like to use her, but of course it is not necessary for you to use her at all. The cleaning lady comes for 3 hours one morning during your stay if you are staying for 5 days or a week, and the gardener comes twice a week. The phone number for the Manager, Laura, is on the fridge door and she can answer any questions or deal with any problems you may have. You are welcome to have the cleaner come more often or for longer, any time you like. She charges 100 pesos and hour and. Also there are two wonderful cooks who will shop and cook for you, serve the meal if you like (or leave it ready for you) and clean up. Each of them also charges 100 pesos an hour The house is on the edge of El Centro, so is only an 8 minute walk to the Jardin, the center of town. But the town is on a steep hill, so it takes a little longer to walk back home! The house too is on the side of the hill, so there are steep steps up from the street, then you walk through the garden up to the house (59 steps altogether but those through the garden are more spaced out). There is no need for a car in San Miguel. You can walk everywhere, or take buses (past front door) or taxis anywhere in town for about $4.00. If you do arrive by car though, you will have to park in a parking lot. Ask me for directions! You can arrange transport from the airport with a regular shuttle service look on-line for "bajiogo"). They can meet you at Mexico City, Queretaro or Leon airport by a van and bring you to the front door. Mexico City is 3.5 hours away, Queretaro is just over an hour away and Leon an hour and a half. If you are coming from within Mexico you will need some instructions for parking. I can give these to you well before you arrive, but you should know ahead of time that there is no parking AT the house. I will give you directions to the parking lot, and by far the best thing is to leave your car there during your whole stay. You will not need a car for getting around in San Miguel. Parking is very difficult and taxis are plentiful and very cheap. Or you can walk everywhere if you prefer. Whether you arrive by car or by shuttle, Luis will call you on the number you have on file with Airbnb to coordinate your arrival and to send you a QR code. You need to have this code on your phone in order to get into San Miguel. Then Luis is responsible for meeting you at the house and he will give you the keys and show you all the details of the house. PLEASE make sure you let him know if you are going to be later than you have told him originally.
