Welcome to Hawks Haven! We hope you’ll enjoy your stay at this charming home in the heart of the village of Hawks. At least 8 people can comfortably stay in the two queen beds and two double beds located in the 3 bedrooms. All the comforts of home are provided for you. Here, you are minutes away from numerous inland lakes and the beautiful shores of Lake Huron. Also, the North Eastern State Trail is practically in the back yard, ready for bikers and snowmobilers alike. The space Property: large, relatively flat green space surrounding the house. Woods outlines the back of the property. The side yard by the driveway houses the fire pit, and is great for lawn games or dining outside on the plastic patio furniture. A gas grill is available for your use as well. And feel free to pick apples or pears while you stay (though the apples are better for baking)! Entrance: you can enter through the side door facing the driveway. There is one step up into the entry way, then two more steps with a railing up into the kitchen. Kitchen: included for your use is a fridge/freezer, electric stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, crock pots, along with dishes, pots and pans, silverware and most other kitchen implements. The dining area with enough space for 8 people is also in the kitchen. Living room: plenty of seating with a comfy couch, love seat and a couple arm chairs. The TV has ChromeCast and a Firestick for casting, but no cable. A DVD player is also available. A small desk with some office supplies for remote work also sits in the living room. Bedroom 1 (Italy Room): queen bed with chest of drawers/mirror, luggage rack and closet with hangers. Bedroom 2 (Wilderness Room): queen bed with chest of drawers, full length mirror, arm chair, luggage rack and closet with hangers. Bedroom 3 (Wine Room): two double beds with small set of drawers, full length mirror, luggage rack and closet with hangers. Bathroom 1: full bathroom with large vanity, tub and shower, and plenty of hooks for towels. Bathroom 2: half-bathroom with toilet and sink. The washing machine and dryer are also in here for your use. Other things to note The individual renting the property must be 23 years of age or older. The house is located next to a church and cemetery, in case that changes any considerations for staying here! DURING YOUR STAY *All essentials are provided in the house (dishes, pots and pans, sheets, towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towel, cleaning products, plastic bags, aluminum foil, etc.) *Please bring your own beach towels if you plan to go to the beach. *A steamer is available for your use. *There is a decent selection of herbs and spices, but if you want something specific, I’d suggest bringing it. *I have a Ninja coffee maker available with filters, and just basic coffee grounds and black tea bags. If you’d like a specific coffee or tea please bring it as well. *The TV has a Firestick and ChromeCast available. You will have to use your own sign-in information to log into streaming services. If you do so, please remember to log out before you leave. We also have a DVD player available. *There is a fire pit for your use, with s’more sticks. But we ask that you bring your own firewood. Individuals and businesses all around the area sell bundles, too. *We use well water, which is fine to drink from the tap. But we also have a filtered Britta pitcher in the fridge. If you’d prefer to bring bottled water, by all means do so. *A party store is within walking distance from the house, offering all the essentials.
