Swallow cottage offers everything you need for a peaceful getaway. A 17th century grade 2 listed barn, newly renovated to a high standard, maintaining original beams throughout and stonework. Step inside this spacious cottage and you will have everything you require for a wonderful stay. The space is very open plan and bright which brings the beautiful rolling views of the Tyne Valley countryside inside. The space Swallow cottage is a hidden gem renovated to a luxury standard. It welcomes you with a private and spacious driveway that will take you right to the front door. There is plenty of room for parking up to 4 vehicles. You’ll enter through a spacious hallway where you can unload and there is a WC. You’ll walk through into the main living area which compromises of a spacious open plan kitchen / dining area and living area with huge sliding doors which allows the natural light to flood in. The kitchen will cater to all of your needs for a comfortable stay. It is fully equipped with all integrated appliances with an oven, microwave, fridge and freezer and induction hob. Cooking up a delicious breakfast or a wholesome dinner is at your fingertips. There is Ninja air fryer also. The cupboards offer up all crockery and utensils. A selection of coffees, teas and fresh milk is always available. The dining area centres around an oak dining table that seats 6 people. The perfect place to enjoy those evening meals or morning breakfasts. The living area is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Take comfort on the brand new sofa and indulge in your favourite shows on an evening on the 55” Smart Flat screen TV which has Netflix, Disney+ and more. You can take in the stunning views of the Northumberland countryside from the sofa out of the large sliding patio doors. The sofa is also a deluxe sofa bed and opens into a spacious and comfortable double sofa bed. All bedding is provided. The patio doors lead onto a patio area with a large teak garden table and chairs, the prefect place to enjoy your morning cuppa whilst taking in the views. The main bedroom sleeps 2 on a double bed with a brand new mattress and bedding. The bedroom benefits from a 43 inch smart TV on the wall. The bedroom has a large wardrobe with hangers and cupboard space and a full length mirror. The bedroom offers an en suite bathroom with a spacious shower with rainfall shower head and a heated towel rail. Fresh towels and complimentary toiletries are provided. A small utility room with a washing machine and dryer lies off the kitchen. This can be used at any time and washing supplies are provided. The cottage benefits from underfloor heating throughout keeping the place cosy and warm and Wi-Fi. Cleaning products are provided for guests convenience along with a hoover and wet mop. We pride ourselves on following airbnbs 5 step cleaning process and prioritise cleanliness of the cottage for our guests. The property is located on our family farm where we also raise our family and have a very friendly farm dog Remi Pets are welcome but we limit this to one dog. They must be toilet trained. We can provide dog bowls/ towels / blanket on request. We have acres of fields and land perfect for letting those fury friends stretch their legs and play. Guest access Swallow cottage is located on our family farm and and we can be available as much or as little as our guests would like. The property has a key safe for self check in. Nestled into the hills of the Northumberland countryside our farm has over 100 acres of land and our guests are more than welcome to do some exploring. There are plenty of wildlife to spot including deer, pheasants and rabbits. We also have some friends on the farm including 5 horses, hens and ducks. You will find complimentary fresh eggs from our hens in the cottage. The area is serene and peaceful. You will often hear the owls hooting on a night and a morning call from our rooster, waking up the farm at sunrise. Other things to note We feel so lucky to be raising our young family here in this idilic and safe setting. Our family embrace the farm life and country side way of living. Swallow cottage is our first newly renovated holiday home and we can’t wait to welcome guests to enjoy this small piece of the stunning Northumberland countryside. We do allow pets and this is limited to 1 dog. If you require any items like blankets, feeding bowls these can be requested and we will do our best to supply them.
